Not through housing or SOAR.
Even after my son accepted the offer off the waitlist SOAR didn’t work until we paid the deposit. It took two business days for the new student housing link to work.

My son spent a few hours last night completing his online orientation and started working on his schedule last night for the other school that he’s currently committed to, so that surely means that he’ll now get an offer from UW-Madison…

Hahaha, for sure. We were planning to wait till May 31st–if nothing by then, then my son will start his placement tests and online orientation for his committed school.

Does anyone see any references to Preparing for Soar in their UW Diagnostics report?
I made copies of my son’s diagnostics about a week or so before he was admitted. The reference to SOAR wasn’t there. I think @midwestcollegegirl may have discovered some legit astrology.
Yes - we have Preparing for Soar in the diagnostics. Have seen it for at least a few weeks now. Guessing it’s nothing since they busted us in there once already. 
oh no… so maybe HAVING it is bad news?? LOL! I posted about checking astrology on the EA board, and I just checked and that was 22 days ago. We had the SOAR “clue” then, and I’m certain for a good amount of time before that, until I was brave enough to ask if anyone wanted to try to outwit the portal LOL!

You make a good point. Having it there for several weeks doesn’t support the “new status update” theory.

Last Friday the offers came around 5/5:30pm CT–I’m glad I just checked, for some reason I thought it was around 3pm CT

The more I think about it the more I’m feeling next Friday. It’s the long weekend, and most importantly they probably have all their admitted students who don’t have their FAFSA yet a June 1st extension like a lot of other schools. They will have a much better idea about waitlist numbers around then.
