More materials?!!
I guess so.
Iâm guessing the only other info they would want would be the year end grades.
I donât even think itâs this. Itâs probably more like an essay than anything. I doubt they want your end of year grades if youâre not attending, so itâs probably like the original form without the grades, just another essay + âdo you want to stay on the waitlistâ.
Called admissions this morning and got no information. All they told me is that we should hear by July 31st and that the waitlist is unranked. They didnât mention needing any more information or that any will be needed in the future.
A tangent: Hereâs whatâs so funny to me. Dr. Greenberg just emailed to let my daughter know that she is in EHLA and the registrar has been informed to help her enroll in honors sections. But sheâs not even in the university yet?! How does this work?
I think her offer might be on its way! I hope so!
Iâd say great news is coming!
I too hope itâs a sign.
If not, maybe Dr. Greenberg can help nudge Admissions for an applicant who is so obviously qualified that they were admitted to an honors program? I mean câmon.
Never underestimate the lack of communication that can happen in a large bureaucracy.
Anything.
CricketsâŠâŠ.
Nothing. Once again.
Pretty sure theyâre not gonna need to go to the waitlist anymoreâŠ. Tough luck for all of us hopefuls but I am a believer of everything happens for a reasonâŠâŠall of you kids will be successful wherever life takes you!
Nothing here either
That is very weirdâŠ. In fact, cruel. I hope your daughter gets an offer tomorrow or sometime shortly. This cannot possibly be miscommunication.
This might be a little bit off track and possibly dumb to ask but hypothetically if someone gets off the waitlist, are they almost certain they will be rooming with a random person or is there still a chance they can pick someone they want?
Not a dumb question at all. The short answer is you probably wonât be able to pick your roommate.
On June 10th, Wisconsin sent an email saying that housing assignments would be released âin a few weeksâ. Once assigned, they donât allow changes to rooms and roommates until after the semester starts.
They did say that some students wonât receive their assignments until later in the summer (presumably those who missed their housing application deadline), but they did guarantee on-campus housing.
Totally agree with everything you said here. Just to add, we were at SOAR in Madison this week and we spoke with a couple students who actually had roommates who got off the waitlist at other places and were left without - even those students were told they would get a random new roommate now so housing sounds pretty set for anyone who made the deadline. Still wishing all of you waiting much luck!
Does the Business school typically pull people off the waitlist, or good chance of getting off waitlist for Business? So stressful !
My son also applied for business, but it seems unlikely there are any (or if there are, very few) spots left. Just my feeling since weâve only seen a couple people post here and on Reddit that theyâve gotten off the list for the business school.
