agreed. haven’t seen any waitlist movement in weeks ![]()
I’ve been really surprised by how little waitlists are being used by colleges this year. I honestly expected that FAFSA was going to create more chaos.
I thought the same! I doubt there will be any big waves to come…. I think that is pretty much it
but I still remain a little bit hopeful that something will come soon!
I only wish UW Madison would share some level of information so we know if there is little room, no room, or a lot of room and they just need time to figure things out! This complete black-box way of working just creates heightened anxiety in waitlisted students and you feel like you’re hoping for something that does not exist! I wish they just shared SOME high-level info so people manage their expectations. Anyway, we are very happy with where my student already committed (PSU engineering) and how swiftly they’re moving with the logistics and how the students are looking forward to going there!
From our family’s experience, the gold standard for admissions is the University of Virginia. They have an admissions dean who is active on CC and other social media sites, they post decision dates at least several days in advance, and they are only college I know that posts their number of waitlist spots and the number of offers they made. It’s refreshing, and if UVA can do it, why can’t others?
As an alum, I’m very proud of this. As a parent, I’m still hurt/angry that they rejected my kid (even though he only applied to humor his dad). ![]()
Interesting. I’ve wondered as well why this info can’t be shared. Such a better way to do it…
Did you hear back from admissions yet?!
All they did was confirm her spot on the waitlist and noted she did everything required. It’s likely she won’t get it at this point despite qualifying for all the engineering honors programs ![]()
That’s crazy.
So true:sob: Applied for business too and have not heard any news on UW Madison and their acceptance from business WL ![]()
I feel like it is pointless to keep the waitlist open until the end of July if we haven’t seen any movement in weeks. I wish they would just let us know so we can move on (as a relief factor) lol!
for weeks not in weeks *
Both prepositions are correct, I believe.
Best of luck to you! Should find out soon.
Thank you so much! I really hope so😞
I haven’t heard yet of anyone get off the school of business waitlist yet, have you?
Good luck everyone!
Good ouck
Luck*
