Any international student who got off the waitlist recently?
@programmer13 I got off the waitlist yesterday for CS at L&S (international). But I most likely will not attend so hopefully my freed up space will help one of you 
Does anyone know what the deal is with on-campus housing for students who got off the waitlist? Is there going to be anything left?
Did anyone get a notification on their myUW home page about the student center being unavailable for 12 hrs?
When I clicked on the student center, it wasn’t working for me. It says “System unavailable”
Upon further inspection of the site, UW Madison has put an alert saying Student Center will be down till 8 PM today. I’m gonna assume that’s 8 PM CST (as that’s Wisconsin’s time zone).
When does the waitlist close?
I suspect it will be closed soon. Possibly after 8 PM CST when they reopen the Student Center.
That’s weird, thought it closed at July 31st?
They said they will reply no later than July 31st. But then again I am only suspecting. I am not 100% sure what this means.

The decision letter on the application status says they will make decisions by July 31st. But the decision letter on the notification center says they will tell us no later than June. I’m not sure which one to go by.
*Correction for the letter on the notification center. It said “No later than the end of June”
I’d hope for one final wave on June 31st, but I don’t know if impacted majors like CS will have open spots by then ;( Gl to ev1 still waiting

I was accepted for computer science on June 10th but I will most likely be declining the offer. Hope that helps! (Out of state btw)
OOS (Ca) daughter also off WL this past week. Like many, she is very far “down the road” in process with another big school, has a roommate, dorm already picked out, etc. Makes it very hard as Wisconsin was easily her top choice months and months ago (we figured out it has now been NINE months since she applied). She had a 30 ACT, 3.95. Going for Sociology. Will be a tough choice. But I do have to believe for those hanging in there that they’ll be pulling students off of the WL all summer long. So much uncertainty. Best to everyone -
Are stats a big consideration in the decisions for the waitlist?
@wadewoodson Prob not as much as the major you got waitlisted for. I have a 1500 SAT and 780 Math 2 but I got waitlisted for CS and still haven’t gotten off. Chances are their CS class is almost close to full and they did state on average a mere 17% of waitlisted applicants get in. That’s not to lose hope though cause ppl have gotten accepted last year even in July.
I’ll be declining my offer as Biochem in L&S and OOS. My financial aid at all schools I was accepted into was <$20k (in-state and OOS) and they asked me to pay the full OOS tuition which is around $50k. Best of luck to all of you
