Walking Dead 2014

I just watched tonight’s episode - I didn’t realize Father Gabriel was in Alexandria.

Go back to the scene where they are turning in their guns…you can see FG in the background kind of to the left.

Can’t tell yet if he has gone off the deep end or if this is a more calculating betrayalt… currying favor with Deanna’s people by disparaging Rick’s.

Quite the conundrum with Pete. Not so easy to just kill the community’s only doctor. There are a lot of houses, though, I suppose Jessie could just leave him if she wanted to.

Poor Noah. That was hard to watch.

Maybe Father Gabriel is neither crazy nor cunning - maybe he actually thinks that some of rick’s people are evil. It’s getting harder to argue otherwise about Carol. First she threatened that boy with death by zombie - now she’s seriously suggesting that Rick kill Pete.

And I say this as someone who loves Carol’s character.

It occurred to me watching that it’s not Rick that shows signs of becoming a murderous megalomaniac like the Governor ----it’s Carol. Tara will need a doctor so Rick is not going to confront or kill Pete. But I think Carol will be lying in wait for him.

I wonder if Noah’s death means we will see Morgan appear soon.

We had to pause the show for a couple of minutes and when we restarted it the dvr it wasn’t working properly. What did Adien say to Glen right before he gave up and left him to be eaten by the zombies.

Something about how the problem wasn’t people not following orders, but people panicking.

That was hard to understand. “Last time, we didn’t make, it was us” or something to that effect. It seemed like he was admitting he and Nicholas had abandoned the four people he previously referred to who had died.

Father Gabriel is right - Carol is the devil tempting Rick!
LOL Just kidding!
What is FG talking about though - is it how they killed the Terminus ppl in his church?

Just finished watching it. Aidan admitted that it was he and that other guy who left the other 4 to die. It surprised me that Glenn didn’t shoot him so he wouldn’t suffer. That was horrible with Noah.

Unfortunately, I think Carols days are numbered. She’s turning more scarred and at some point I think she will be off the show. Hate that as she’s one of my favorite. Hooray for Eugene…finally got his mojo!

I think Carol is turning into a version of Shane, and there will be an eventual confrontation with Rick.
Although I hope her storyline is “turns to the dark side but is redeemed.”

Had to watch that part again.

Nick leans into Aidan just before abandoning him: “You left em-we both did-that’s who we are-I’m sorry”

Then Aidan’s deathbed confession to Glenn: “It was us - the others before - they didn’t panic - we did-it was us.”

I wish it had been Nick who died…I saw potential for the Aidan character. But I suppose Aidan’s death is going to be a big catalyst for future plot developments.

When the group was getting ready to leave, I couldn’t help thinking it was a little “off” that Glenn, Tara and Noah would be willing to go out with Aidan and Nick again, especially since it wasn’t clear that Aidan and Nick weren’t the leads anymore. Sad they had to follow these numbskulls into a death trap.

Why was Noah with his limp even on this run?

Was it worth the risk and the loss of life just for solar power grids? Not like it was essential food or medicine. People lived for thousands of years without power…they need to adapt to the new reality in a zombie apocalypse world

And if it’s deemed that important, they should go in with an army, pull people off other jobs, create multiple diversions… Deanna is really incompetent as a leader. Can’t switch over to Rick soon enough. Or maybe Carol? That would be interesting.

Whoo boy this episode was intense. Lesson learned: do NOT plan to eat dinner while watching Walking Dead. Admittedly, we should have learned this a long time ago…

Did you watch Talking Dead and see the Noah dummy used for his final scene?

I admit I had my eyes closed during the last moments of “everybody ate Chris”

And I could barely look at the dummy version too, but then I don’t like walking through the most gruesome sections of the Halloween stores either.

So gross.

I have never seen a chubby zombie, all look gaunt. The female ones always seem to be wearing dresses, skirts, jumpers.

I read that they were making the zombies more skeletal and gaunt this season, because of the passage of time…they are getting worse and worse looking.

Is the red balloon real or can only Rick see it?

I don’t now, good questions. He’s really having a break down, isn’t he? No wonder, he’s been holding this group together for so long, plus 2 kids to worry about. I have to say I enjoy seeing them in this environment. It was becoming weary for me to have them out there all the time, and getting a little boring, too. It’s fun to see them in normal clothes, doing normal everyday things ( even though they aren’t “normal” now). I like seeing them cleaned up. I’m also enjoying seeing Carl finally being able to be a teen with a crush. Good story line right now. I hope it lasts awhile.

Maybe Enid is a spy from the ‘W’ people…

Or are they ‘M’(for Morgan) people?
