BTW, I am planning to make the optional video right now; I didn’t do it during the application process. Would it create more chances to get off the waitlist?

It turned out AO was gone for everyone from our state. But none-the-less, it’s good that curiosity never dies. :sunglasses: Congrats to your jhu acceptance!

Son got in to Sam Fox. Thinking CommDes major. Unsure because he also got into UCLA Design Media Arts and likes that location better

When they are going to release the notice for the waited student?

Waiting list. When they are going to release the notice for the waited student?

My older son was waitlisted 2 years ago after applying ED2. He sent in a letter of continued interest after being waitlisted and again after he put in a deposit at another school that had accepted him. Within a week of when student s had to accept or decline offers, he was accepted off the waitlist.

So he get accepted off waitlist roughly in June , that is when he need to decide accept or decline offer ?

Question about financial aid. The award letter my son received is a few thousand more than what is listed on the portal - the “new” cost is now enough that he may have to commit elsewhere. He and I have both reached out to the fin aid office and haven’t heard anything back. Anyone have any clue what might have happened here? Is it a glitch in the system? Should we wait before we decide Wash U isn’t happening?

FYI - the award letter showed earned scholarships, and a merit based grant that is awarded in Missouri for ACT scores. There was a very small financial grant but the difference on the financial portal is twice that amount.

Reach out again if it is truly the front runner - there is still time to get a clear answer from WashU. Call again and don’t let them hang up without speaking to someone who can walk you through the numbers.

Thank you! I did reach out again and I was given a very satisfactory answer. There was a glitch in the online portal and now all is right with the world.
