Applying to the College Class of 2017 (Starting College in the Fall of 2013)

has any1 applied for the richmond scholars?

Can I mention my true inspiration ‘Imran Khan’ in my College Essay? :stuck_out_tongue: Ahtesam, whatwas your SAT score?

@HKUDreamer . I logged in particularly to reply you!
Imran Khan is without doubt my greatest inspiration too!
I really wanted to write about him but my counsellor advised me not to.
As he is a politician, the topic may be controversial and as a result risky!
Let’s see what everyone else on the forum has to say but I wil advise you to choose another topic :(

Hey, I am applying to a few lower tier LAC’s and I have a SAT score of 1930 and I gave sat 2 in three subjects in dec. I have a GPA of 3.7 and a good class rank. I can only go if I get full scholarship or/and aid.

Can anyone help me?

P.S my CR wasn’t good at all, so I might give SAT 1 again in Jan.

@danfanhp8 From the schools I was looking at, quite a few colleges do not accept Jan scores… I feel you should check this detail out.

@talha5b I did. Last year LOL.
Did you?

@HKUDreamer First of all, HKU <3 Secondly, it depends. It could go both ways. It could show out of the box thinking and how you aren’t afraid to speak up your point of view. Make sure if you talk about controversial topics with hardcore logic and reason.

Bluelove, I see you’re a recipient of the Oldham Scholarship, congratulations. Btw, are you purely a Pakistani national or do you hold another passport as well? Just curious
