Same here. Ours showed this AM as well. Same GPA as on HS transcript.
The GPA convo has me curious. My DS’s still hasn’t been updated with a GPA. Curious minds want to know

My older daughter did the VIT tour three years ago and had the equivalent of a 33. Obviously things could have changed since then.
The year on the accepted students landing page has just been updated to 2029. That’s a great sign that decisions are coming either later later tonight or tomorrow.

My understanding is they don’t look at all classes taken. It’s specific classes
My son applied to Auburn EA in early August. How do the rounds work? If he doesn’t get admitted in round 1, will he be considered in rounds 2 and 3? Or will he find out if he is denied in round 1 and that’s it?
If it works the same way as in previous year, if he gets deferred, he will be asked to submit his semester grades together with a very short essay and updated scores (if available) so he can be considered for regular admission. However, my son got higher scores before the EA3 round and we expressed them to Auburn. He called them and got in during EA3.
Thanks. Will Auburn tell him that he is deferred? Or will he automatically roll over? Will he hear anything on the day round 1 decisions are released? He hasn’t heard yet and I read that today was the day.
Yes, when decisions are released, he will find out if he was admitted, deferred or denied. He will receive an email alerting him to check his AU portal. It’s usually towards the end of the day.

I really hope it is not at 8:15 pm like it was a year a two ago…
If he had submitted everything on time (by September 15th) and he can log into his account and everything is in order and it just says awaiting decision, he will hear from them at the same time as everyone waiting for EA1 decision (hoping today). My son was last year and my daughter is this year. Last year all the decisions came out by about 6 pm CST on the 13th. We are hoping it’s today, as this is how they have done in the past but you never know! Just keep checking your account at the end of the day. Hope everyone gets good news today !

Do they update everyone’s GPA ? I saw ours was updated, I didn’t know what that meant
My advice. Don’t try to read tea leaves. You will know a decision soon.

I honesty don’t know. I never looked into this last year. The portal looked different last year than this year. I did see my daughter’s GPA is almost identical to the weighted GPA she provided but I was also able to reproduce that GPA using only her core subjects and using extra full point for honors and two points for AP or Dual Credits. I’m not saying that this is how they are doing it, because I have no clue, just that it worked by using this method.

My guess is they went through and assigned a GPA to all of the EA1 applicants based on transcript. How that number plays into the final decisions, I have no idea. Since we don’t know how they recalculate GPA, I’m starting to think that EA decisions are based mostly on test scores as long as some sort of minimum GPA is met. Then they will do a deeper dive on each application (rigor, EC’s, essay, etc) during regular decision.
