Auburn University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

Correct, some schools like UF and UGA do this and are transparent about how they do it. I don’t see anywhere on Auburn’s website that shows exactly how this is handled? Perhaps all of the GPA’s above a certain threshold (for example 3.5 or 3.6 and above) are considered in the same pool and then they go by standardized test scores to further differentiate? If anyone has any more insight on this, please share.

That is my understanding, yes.

FYI Auburn is on fall break this Thursday and Friday October 10 & 11, 2024. I am not expecting any admissions release on those days, but a surprise would be really nice!

You’re probably right, but just from past experience, if the students are on break it doesn’t mean that the admissions office is.

I don’t think this has held them back in the past…

They released on Friday, 10/13, during AU fall break last year.

They love to drop big emails at closing time on Fridays! I think it gives everyone a weekend to chill out and avoids a barrage of calls and emails they have to deal with.

I just saw in her application portal that her GPA was calculated by Auburn. The GPA they used was the exact GPA that UGA uses which was no weight for honors classes, no electives and no 8th grade classes. She did get an extra point for AP classes.

Where in the portal did you find this? We can see her test scores in her portal under “view and edit applicant file” but we don’t see a calculated GPA or even a section where it would go.

Same. We only see test scores in the portal.

It showed up where the test scores are in the view and edit applicant file. It is in the same row as Mailing address and entry term applied. It is labeled GPA.

Interesting. We just have white space there - no category heading or data. There is blank space available there, but absolutely no text appears.

Ours is the same, only mailing address and entry term appear in that row. The rest is blank white space. I wonder if they update that as they review files?

Maybe they only recalculate if it is not on a 4 point scale?

My S25 school reports on a 100 point scale, and his GPA is not shown on the application portal.

What date did your student submit their application? Test optional, by chance?

Transcript received 9/6. Application received 9/9, Test scores received 9/9.

Same for my D25 - 100-point scale, checkmark for received transcript but no GPA shown in the portal. EVerything was submitted in late August. Hmmm.

Weird. Makes me a little nervous for sure.

Application received 8/1, Official Test Scores received 8/7, Official Transcript received 9/13 (unofficial with application on 8/1).
