my o-o-s daughter who had been deferred as an undecided student discovered she was accepted this morning via the UNH student portal…no email, no snail mail yet…she had her mid-year grades sent 3-4 weeks ago…best of luck to your daughter!
Hi, my son applied EA and was deferred. He was admitted today via the UNH portal. I hope this helps! Good luck!
Sorry I think this has been asked but I can’t find anything on it. My son just got notified via mail that he was accepted. However the letter has no mention of anything at all related to financial aid or merit. Does it come later? Or does one assume that there will be none? I would think they would address it though either way in the letter? Thx all
When my son was accepted, he received an email at a later date letting him know his financial aid was available to view. Try this link
New 2020-21 financial aid award information is now available for you, this can be found by visiting the ‘Financial Aid: Review Aid Package’ task in the Financial Aid Office Task Center (https://my.unh.edu/collection/durham/student-financial-aid-tc). Click on the desired ‘task’ and log in with your credentials.
My sons acceptance letter via mail let him know he received a merit scholarship.
Thanks you Brandynh, that worked. I went in and there is nothing in there so I’m hopeful it’s just not updated yet.
@MipperMoo I would think just not updated because there should be at least the federal $5500 loan showing available. When my son got acceptance it mentioned a merit scholarship but not the amount. That came later.
Hi, my son was admitted and it specified right on the acceptance letter about the merit scholarship.
When I went into the portal, it listed the loan and the amount of scholarship.
Have any other NH residents not yet received a decision? Decisions for RD are due tomorrow, but our daughter was deferred in December and hasn’t heard anything since (no portal updates, etither).
This extended period with no updates has essentially eliminated UNH as an option in her mind. She’s got 12 other acceptances including flagships from 8 other states so we’re not concerned about her options.
At this point, I’m more annoyed as a taxpayer that this is how our state’s flagship manages admissions for its residents.
Does anyone know how enrollment has been going for UNH in light of Covid? My son was accepted for September with zero merit or aid. While we submitted his deposit we are struggling with decision bc his 2 other choices are $8k+ less annually. Unh won’t budge on merit /aid and we aren’t sure it makes sense to give up that kind of money in these precarious times. Thanks for any insight you may have. We are new to all of this.
@MipperMoo I believe UNH opened their application back up through June 1st for Fall of 2020. So my guess is they probably enrolled less students than usual? I’m applying in the fall for the class of 2025, so it will be interesting to see what plays out.
