Cornell Waitlist Class of 2028

I feel like there will be less waitlist acceptance than last year

yeah that could be what they are trying to do.

UM I HOPE not

They added 4% more total acceptances. With less ED that means they either predict a higher yield or want a smaller freshman class. Ie less waitlist spots taken

Let’s all stay positive and manifest lots of WL movement!!!:heart_hands:

Yess I agree!

Bruh Cornell needs to get on top of their stuff, literally a ton of other schools are already taking off ppl,:sob: I will have to reject Rice’s offer to wait for this one

does anyone know if u can still get an offer without receiving the interest email?

I think it varies college to college

dyk if its like that specifically for CAS?

i dont really know, i am just going based off what i have read

Why would you do that? Take the offer at the last possible moment. Pay the deposit. If Cornell comes back with a waitlist offer, take it and lose the Rice deposit.

I was not planning on going to rice after some research so I declined it😭It’s fine, thank you for the concern.
I was just really really anxious abt the waiting

Sorry, but the reality is the waitlist offers could come as early as next week or as late as June. You should plan on committing to another school, pay your deposit as late as possible, and start making plans for that university. If the Cornell waitlist comes through, then pivot.

I am planning on commiting to another school thankfully the ddl is 15th and there’s no deposit :slightly_smiling_face:‍:arrow_up_down: imma leave this forum for a while to stop this mania
Do really hope it comes out before the 15th because I won’t be able to access the portal without paying someone after that💀

Are you traveling to somewhere that banned certain American websites ?
(If so then I’m in the same boat.)
You could purchase a VPN app to access the portal, but I also need a recommendation for that

They probably really hope the waitlist come out early because their deadline is that late lol…but I agree, the chances of getting picked up is probably slim to none, so it’s better to move on now.

Does anyone know if major matters for CAS or do they rank? I applied for art history.

Please try to fall in love with the school you are planning on committing to!( I know it’s very hard when many ppl had dream schools ever since they are a kid)
Based on your previous threads, you have many great options, and I am sure it will all work out no matter what school you end up at!
Waitlist is really unpredictable, and none of us can tell you whether Cornell will admit anyone or when they will do so. Instead of holding onto this, for your mental health, you should focus on moving on.
If Cornell does end up taking you, then it would be a happy surprise:))
