Cornell Waitlist Class of 2028

Thank you so much!
I guess historically they send out the emails on Friday… then the offer at May 2nd.

Oh okay. I am assuming most people will hear back soon. Hopefully not just A&S

does anyone know if unable off the waitlist - possible offer next year transfer?

I read that last year they did give out transfer options to those who did not get off for fall admission

Lol. I just want to hear back already. I never thought I would need to wait another month to find out about my dream school. :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

For realll😭I have some good options but Cornell is like #1 since day one

Offers are usually Tuesday the following week after the CAS email. I had to do more looking back. I was relying on time stamps from pictures. When I looked at my previous posts, it was a Friday email and a Tuesday offer. Not Thursday email as I posted prior.

Ohh okay. Yeah I am anticipating hearing something from CALS sometime this week or next week.

Sorry to keep asking questions, but based on what you have seen do you think it would be this Friday or next Friday?

Every year is different so I don’t know if or when they will start admitting off of the waitlist. All we have is previous year’s information. I don’t think fafsa will weigh into it since they did not change the May 1st deadline to accept. They did send more offers this year since they accepted more from regular decision vs ED which will impact the yield.

Yeah, I have a feeling that the yield will be lower this year based on the fact that there were more RD acceptances than ED acceptances. Im not 100% sure but I have a feeling.

pls pls pls be true:sob::sob::pray::pray::pray:

I think they’re going to have a smaller class size and planned for it. If they admitted less ED they didn’t admit more RD to make up for it exactly

they planned for a smaller yield % and sent out more acceptances to account for that im pretty sure.
based on that would there be less waitlist acceptances or more?
