Students who are already in college and applied for a transfer into Cornell have begun receiving acceptances & rejections this past week. The decisions are released in waves. My guess is that this is what some are posting about. This is different from the waitlisted high school seniors.

Would the amount of transfer students accepted affect how many they admit from waitlist?
The TikTok I saw is specifically talking abt waitlisted students in high school receiving acceptances though, but it could totally be another Ivy League school, as the tiktoker did not specify which school
I don’t see any update on Cornell waitlist though, so it’s highly unlikely the tiktok is referring to Cornell

Getting your news from TikTok is generally a bad idea. I’d be cautious about spreading rumors, particularly if no specific school was mentioned. Cornell specifically states that it will not start sending out waitlist acceptances until 5/2 at the earliest.

idk when the email abt interest comes out or how its gonna be this year. I dont think it will be today and probably only a couple days before may 2nd. and we definitely wont receieve an offer before may 2nd as cornell has stated.
