Is it new people who will get an email tomorrow or people who have already received one from CAS?

Disagree. The LOCI is for additional awards and achievements. Another essay is not appropriate nor necessary after we have spend so much time in our application.
Think itās pretty much over for us COE applicants. Didnt rlly want to end the college application process this way, but I think we should be proud for even getting this far. A waitlist means some members on the committee thought we were good enough to get in and we just missed a couple votes! Congrats to the people who got off ā yāall deserved it!

S24 received some consultation on LOCI. The recommendation was to connect recent achievement which was minor to another essay. In the new essay, he tried to address some things he felt was left out in the original application. He got off the waitlist in 2 weeks. I canāt say it was the new essay that did it. All I can say is it didnāt hurt.

Just received this response from COE:
Thank you for your patience with this process. We do not know if we will go to the waitlist again, yet. What I can tell you is that the waitlist will be closed and enrollment will be completed by July 1. Hope that is helpful.

Which school had your son applied for?
I donāt have a dog in the fight either so I havenāt seen the prompt. But Iāve seen it described here as a paragraph, not an essay. Perhaps explaining which discipline in engineering the applicant wants to pursue?

1500 character response,call it what you want, it was another several hours of investment in the application process. Yes, a long shot, knew that going in, but never waste an opportunity, is my sons motto. Glad someone posted the numbers. If he gets an offer it will take him minutes to accept. Good luck to all, Cornell is an outstanding University.

it doesnāt matter. the email initially said to upload the loci to the optional supplemental materials section, but a lot of people in this chat room (me included) have added it to the waitlist correspondence. I emailed them after this as well and they said my loci had been added to my application
