If it does, just download the file via and open it in Preview manually.

I don’t use Chrome but I did try it and it felt like Safari - which it should as they are both based on Webkit.

BCEagle,

Thanks for answering my hard drive question. I appreciate it.

I just uninstalled Firefox 3 and re-installed 2.0.0.19 (thx BCEagle91 for posting the link). Youtube links work again (they were hugely buggy for me in 3)! And my location bar is just how I liked it. I upgraded to 3 about 1 month ago and HATED it, but never would have thought to ask for help here. Swimcatsmom, thanks for the thread.

You are welcome
. I had tried googling for help but CC was a lot more helpful.

By the way - I am loving foxit for a pdf reader. So much better (for me) than adobe. No freezing when I download big files and it has nifty tools for highlighting and marking files. I am so tempted to actually buy the version with more options to play with. Don’t need it - but kinda want it.

WHAT? This is the first place to come for advice about Trader Joe’s, balky cats, dog food, drying out a cell phone, what to do in [insert city here], etc. Oh yes, also for college info…

I’m bumping this thread up as I had to re-find it again as i was having the same problems again and could not remember how to fix them. Thought there might be others out there also.

The ‘awesome bar’ had started listing my bookmarks again when I started typing in a website - I really hate that so I had to go in and change it again using the instructions in this link from post #16.
[Don’t think the Firefox 3 “awesome bar” is awesome? Here’s how to disable it. - Download Squad](http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/06/17/dont-think-the-firefox-3-awesome-bar-is-awesome-heres-how-t/)

My latest problem is the last few days I cannot open hotmail in firefox. So every time I want to check my email I have to go to IE. Have cleared cookies and memory etc to no avail. Not a big deal but irritating. (Gosh computers are making us into an impatient species - it probably adds just a few seconds at most to the process that I have to click in a couple of extra places to open IE and enter hotmail - irritates the heck out of me!!)

Still loving foxit as a pdf downloader. Don’t miss adobe at all.
