@vonlost – I have every category checked as Pop Up except ‘Notify me when I earn a badge’.
I suppose I could try logging out and logging back in again to see if that solves the problem. (The solution to so many tech issues!)
It’s already there.
- Set preferences to only notify you of updates to bookmarked threads (it's possible to be notified of threads you posted in, separate from bookmarks) - @CT1417
- Do not bookmark, or un-bookmark, threads you are not interested in.

UPDATE: We have now fixed the regular display on mobile to show link to Page 1 without having to rotate the screen.

@OHMomof2 – I appreciate your patience in attempting to educate me on this, but I am still confused.
I did not change anything on my Preferences, so I am assuming that this is a new feature since CC’s rollout this summer? Previously, if I no longer wanted to receive notifications of new posts to a thread I had been following, I simply unchecked the little flag in the upper right corner next to the thread’s title.
Do I now need to go to my page of Bookmarks and find the one I wish to unbookmark? If so, that is definitely new.
I assume it is OK to include the Preference settings Notify me when people mention me, send PM, etc?

^ I think it was a bug; some of my notifications were “turned on” a while back. I just turned them off again.

I am still unclear though. Am I not supposed to unbookmark a thread by unchecking the flag at the top? Do I really need to search for it in my list of bookmarked threads? That would be tedious…and a change.
I think you need to uncheck every category as popup. Any notifications you get due to bookmarks you can unbookmark them as they occur.
@vonlost – Thanks. I will do that also. May wait to see if I receive any errant notifications after logging out, and if I do, will uncheck the popup notifications.

Yes @CT1417 - uncheck the popups for everything except favorites in settings. Then, yes, you can click the little flag to unfavorite/favorite. You don’t have to go to bookmarks, I was responding to someone asking where they all are.
Hmm, I’m having trouble with the search function. I was trying to find the Home Improvement Thread. It pops up immediately in the list of options but when I click it, I get a “page not found” message.
I am still getting the Home Depot ads on my phone

You know…it’s nice that the forum higher ups actually have listened to and responded to many of the suggestions given by posters on this forum!
Now…the only thing left that bothers me is the thin lined font.
And the pages jumping, even if you wait.
And the Home Depot ad makes things freeze up when trying to scroll.
@jym626, can you please confirm the browser you are on when you see the ad? Also, can you please try a different browser the same device (you said it’s iPhone 8, correct) and see if the issue persists?
