@abhirasal, can you please detail on the issue? What is the “hunt thread” and where were you seeing it? Thanks!
I think this issue was on the previous version as well. Are a user’s “post” a new thread and “reply” their reply in any thread but not including the original post? Sometimes I will see two posts and two replies yet there is one post and one reply. Or there might be one post and no replies yet it says 1 and 1. @CCadmin_Sorin look at user Sai1031 as an example of where the number of posts, replies and likes don’t make sense.
I’m having issues again today with not being taken to the new posts on a thread where I have already posted and read through. It had stopped and just restarted again today
@lkg4answers, user Sai1031 has 4 posts, 2 threads and 2 replies. That’s what I see when I check their profile. That’s also what’s being displayed when they post. This looks fine. Do you see something else?
What the profile calls “posts” are actually “threads.” It should be changed, in my opinion.
@CC_Sorin We see 4 posts, but general users do not. Flagged posts are not visible to them but are included in the post count.
I see “2 posts” but when I click to view the posts, I only see “College Admission Help! (2020)”
I see “2 replies” and when I click to view replies, I only see the reply that begins with "Thanks everyone! "
I see “1 like” and when I click on likes, it takes me to her original “College Admission Help!” comment.
Thank you! That makes sense. It happened on occasion with the old format and I didn’t know why. Now I do. Thank you!
I agree with @MaineLonghorn.
When you go to a profile page, and look under the person’s name, you see “posts” and a number. But really, those are threads the poster has started, and when you click on that…the heading you get is…Threads.
Please change “posts” to “threads”.
To me…and probably everyone else “posts” would be everything the person has posted, not just threads started.
All I really care is to be able to quickly scan a page to see what is new and what I can help answer. That is what makes this site usable.
I think in general the site is still quite bad with the new changes - something extra bad just happened: I went to my browser bookmark for my CC bookmarks, as I’ve done for years, and it had a “dead frowny face” and said something had gone wrong. I learned, after re-logging-in to the site, that all that had happened is that I restarted and got logged out.
Really? They don’t nudge you to log in again if that’s the only issue?
Is there a reason that there is no “most recent” post listed under UC Berkeley when using this view? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/c/ It has been this way for at least a couple of weeks.
I don’t know if this had been reported elsewhere but on the threads I have bookmarked, if I go to my notifications and click through to the thread to read the new posts, it resets my notifications back to zero.
However, if I notice there are updates to one of my bookmarked threads from somewhere else (like Latest Posts, for instance) and click through to the thread to read the new posts, it doesn’t clear the notifications.
I am pretty sure this was not the case before as I’ve noticed a number of times that I end up going to what I think are new posts when it turns I’ve already read them.
Just curious – how am I the most active this month (compared to the Moderators etc.?). FWIW this is negative reinforcement – would strongly prefer not to show up on any list.
Why does it always say that the most recent post for the UCLA forum is April 13? Why doesn’t that forum status update like the rest? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/c/
@CCadmin_Sorin It has been a while since we’ve heard the status of any fixes. Do you have an update for us?
It seems unique on the alphabetical list. It’s correct here:
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cc-top-universities/
and here:

This is due to the fact that you received the Helpful badges that were just launched last week.
Is there any way we can decline getting badges? There are so many things needed to improve the use of this forum…launching useless badges (I think they are useless) is so not necessary.
Yes, they are useless. Also, many here have adopted using the helpful button as a virtual hug of sorts to someone going through something challenging/sad. Seems weird to give a badge for those “helpfuls”.
For comparison, common app opened Aug 1 and is on top of its bugs and glitches on its new platform. It has temporary workarounds: https://appsupport.commonapp.org/applicantsupport/s/known-issues-app
Would be a great idea here too.
