I access cc on both pc and 8" Samsung tablet. On the tab it starts out as mobile website but with a couple of clicks I can always get the desktop version which I much prefer. Simply using the settings menu to request desktop version has never done anything.
Now I have a new 8" Samsung Tab A, running Android 7, and so far I can’t get the desktop version of cc. Anybody know the trick or know that it’s impossible?
Well, to partly answer my own question, I tried another browser and it’s working the way I want. A slight inconvenience, having to remember to switch away from the browser I use for everything else, but quite doable.
@alooknac, you can access the Full Site by entering at collegeconfidential.com and then accessing the forums from the top tab on the site. Hope this helps!
Chrome browser should have this feature ‘show desktop site’
Just to follow up, I was already entering the site the way @CCadmin_Sorin suggests (I’m not sure how else one would enter the site?) and as Chrome is not my browser of choice, @dadaloglu’s suggestion wouldn’t solve the problem of having to switch browsers for cc.
My preferred browser is Samsung Internet Beta. For cc I am now using Ghostery.
