International (Indian) student applying to the Liberal Arts Colleges with financial aid [93/96/86/97% GPA by year, 34 ACT (35 super score), <$50k, computer science]

Hey! Thank you for your kind words and helpful advice.

I tried out the net price calculator for some of these colleges (Vassar, among the ones we’re discussing), and given the information it asked, it estimated a family contribution of $10K/yr.

Other calculators estimate similarly between 8-15K.

On the CSS, for the last question that asks how much we intend to pay, we’ve figured we can afford and are willing to play 45K.

I don’t know why the calculators are estimating differently, but perhaps it is my favor in this case, right?

Are you converting into US dollars? NPC almost never estimate less than you think you can afford.
But yes, if your family can afford 40-45k a year without loans then it’ll help you compared to being able to afford 10k.

And yes agreed you seem like a good fit for Wes

Agree that this seems unusual… $45k/year? But awesome if true!
