When I go to my Home/Discussion/Profile/Like page, the small blue “next” button at the bottom of the page is missing. I can see it on the “Helpful” page, but it is not showing up on the “Like” page. I am on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 10 installed.
It has returned… I didn’t reboot or anything.
So it still has a problem, just not on the first page. For the first two screens of ‘liked’ posts, the next button appears. But when i get to the third screen, only the previous button is there. When I go to helpful posts, i can keep hitting next for many pages. But right now the next button on liked posts disappears on the third page. @CCadmin_Sorin. any thoughts?
@intparent, I was able to replicate the issue. I’ve asked my colleagues to look into it. I’ll keep you posted once I have an update. Thanks!
@CCadmin_Sorin, I just noticed it looks like it is fixed – both buttons show up as I page further into the liked posts. Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks for confirming, @intparent.
@CCadmin_Sorin, this problem is back (next button is missing when I go to my Home/Discussion/Profile/Like page. Can you please check on this? Thanks!
@intparent, thanks for reporting. I was able to replicate the issue. There’s no “Next” button on page 2, but if you change the parameter in the URL and replace 2 with 3 or 4 it shows content. I’ve communicated it to the tech team who is looking for a permanent fix. However, they initially told me it’s a catching issue that should be resolved by clearing your cache. Do you mind trying this and telling me if it works?
@CCadmin_Sorin, it was fine for a while after our last exchange, but now it is missing from page 1. It seems like it is something with the ads at the bottom of the page. Like they cover it up or something. It works for a while, but then something happens to break it again.
@CCadmin_Sorin, I see another problem that looks kind of similar. If I am looking at another poster’s replies (going to their name and then clicking on “Replies” on the left side), at the bottom of the screen there is a button for “More Comments”. When I click that button, nothing is happening. Only the first page of the comments continues to show up. The button acts like it is letting me click (it isn’t “dead”). But nothing changes in the comments shown. The poster was looking at has tons of posts, so it wasn’t that there aren’t any to show. Thanks!
@intparent, I just had a discussion with the tech team and they would need more info on this. Can you please let me know the specific user profiles on which you experienced this issue on? Also, the standard question, what device/browser/OS you use? Thanks!
I just tried this on @intparent 's profile. Clicked on Replies, went to bottom of page, clicked on “More Comments”, it looked like it was working on something, then nothing happened. Tried this several times.
Then I tried going into inparent’s profile again. This time the first time I hit “More Comments” it showed some more. But when I clicked again, it did the same thing as before (looked like it was “thinking” then showed nothing).
So it appears to be an intermittent problem, but not difficult to repeat (seems to happen more than not).
@CCadmin_Sorin, I was on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 10 installed. Looks like @ClaremontMom tried it with my ID and had trouble. Also, for some reason I am not getting notifications when people mention me (like you did in post 10) – is this part of being jailed?
No, it’s happened to me on and off since the change. No rhyme or reason. But if I change the url bar to the “page 2” url then I go to page 2 and the button reappears.
What is “the change?”
All day I have had trouble getting onto CC, and then when I did, after refreshing a page I would sometimes get a completely different formatting of the CC page. Everything was set differently, placed differently, all the framing and lettering was blue…
I suspect @romanigypsyeyes means the complete rewrite of the website a couple of years ago.
Thanks for that. About two days or so ago, I noticed that the font here looked different, but no one else seemed to have that experience.
Thanks for the detailed info, @intparent and @ClaremontMom. I’ll get back as soon as I have news from the tech team.
