Leadership in Service
Four months before September 11, 2001—and just weeks before his Harvard graduation—Seth Moulton ’97 decided to join the Marines. “Andover instilled in me the confidence and sense of personal responsibility to take that risk,” explains Seth. </p>

<p>He served two tours of duty in Iraq as an infantry platoon commander, and then served two more as a special assistant to General Petraeus, commander of U.S. forces in Iraq. In spring 2011, Seth earned two advanced degrees: a master’s in business from Harvard Business School and a master’s in public affairs from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. </p>
