Ohio State Class of 2026 Admission

Where did you hear about RD hearing back tomorrow?

I thought the deferred EAs were to have a decision on or by March 25th?? Are they after March 25th?

Thank you !!!

Best of luck today for everyone waiting on decisions!

Again, where did you see/hear about this? The only thing I have found is everything being released March 25

March 25th is the only date I can find as well. Are you waiting for a deferred decission as well?

Yes, not sure where these other dates are coming from

earlier in the forum I think people were saying after talking to admissions officers that decisions will supposedly “roll out” until the end of March or I guess March 25. Personally, I don’t trust that they will roll out and think they’ll instead all be released on March 25. I wouldn’t even be surprised if some were released March 31 or early April at this point.

Wouldn’t you think that if there was a Glitch in their system it would have been reported to the news media?

Thank you!

Two questions:

  1. This seems to be the same appeal form used by everyone including current students, so how quick would the turnaround be and how likely is a positive outcome, given the direct responses that @singergirl7777 received were all affirmatively negative?
  2. Are second year merit scholarships more widely available for OOS at tOSU? I’ve read other schools like Virginia Tech give out limited freshman merits, but then have tons of scholarships for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years students.

And trust me I’ve asked several people in financial aid and undergraduate admissions and they all firmly said no negotiating. However, I’m pushy and I will still probably write the appeal letter! Lol

I also asked about scholarships moving forward if nothing can be done about freshman year and that again was no merit based scholarships are given after freshman year. So you’d probably have to do scholarship universe or outside scholarships. However, maybe departmental scholarships are given. I didn’t ask that question.

Those are the ones I’ve read about wrt Virginia Tech.

Recently received an email saying I can apply for the OSU Scholars programs. As an international applicant, I didn’t understand what that meant but I managed to grasp the concept through their website. I’m still a little uncertain about whether there are objectively better Scholars programs and if there are others I should steer clear of.

Guessing no one here heard from Morrill yesterday?

Nope

The housing application opened late yesterday
need to submit application and pay $350 to get spot in queue. Email sent to student’s osu.edu email address
