But then again someone did get it on Sunday, maybe since it’s late in the process decisions are being sent out more frequently. Perhaps no news is good news then? Haven’t heard of any rejections, but it truly feels like a waiting game now.
I also wonder if they stay true to the 300 per award, it seems like so many people have gotten it!
Oh my, that would suck to not ever have received the application. They should have given it to her just for that. I think my kid has pretty much counted out at this point. I don’t think her leadership stuff is maybe strong enough.
I didn’t have a ton of leadership either, but I think they give you the essay so you can express yourself and give the panel a direct look into how you want to promote DEI at osu, so I feel like that could help!
I know how badly you want this, so I really hope it works out!
Thanks, you as well!! I
100% agree
wow-interesting,
My daughter did that last year and ended up at Purdue, just lost the deposit…no biggie
How is she liking Purdue? That’s one of my daughter’s other choices.
If anyone hears from morrill let us know!!
Nothing! Mine just assumes they got rejected at this point. We either make it happen at full price tag or goes to a school that gave good money. I am still pulling for you!
We’re in the same boat with the full price tag. Disappointing, for sure.
OOS? Submit test score ? It’s so disappointing.
Especially since we know people who got it and are not planning on going.
OOS (CA), no test scores (he definitely should have submitted because they were in line with $16.5k scholarship when I did the NPC), full IB diploma, admitted to Biological Scholars Program, and it was actually his #1 school (so far - waiting on ~10 more decisions). We haven’t called yet. If we do call, should it be me or S22 and to admissions office or FA office?
Sadly this usually isn’t the case but your student should call.
$0 merit aid.
Sadly, my student is always in school during their hours. She emailed and no one emailed back. I am telling you it’s the test score. They say it’s not but the net calculator says otherwise. I am sure some TO got it but few and far between. However, her classmate had a 1500 with a 4.0 and got zero.
Did your D22 email FA or admissions? Wondering if inquiring with someone in the scholars program would be helpful? Did she or you call, and if so, what department? I do think they just messed up - there have been too many stories like ours this admissions cycle.
She emailed Buckeye link which is financial aid. You can’t email anywhere else for financial aid I believe. I called also since she is always in school during their business hours. She has reached out to the scholars program, but not about money. I did talk to the scholars program to see if there would be money available after freshman year and they said no. I will tell her to reach out to the contact that got back to her from the scholars program. Also, she emailed her Chicago rep and they said the same thing. Once financial aid is out, it’s final.
