Project Runway 2017

^^ Yes, I’m interested to see that, too. I liked the outfit she made but she seems awfully smug about everything. I don’t think she’ll make many friends.

Although the models are different weights, they all seemed to be pretty tall. I would like to see them design for short and dumpy!

So far, with the exception of Deyonte, I’m not really feeling any of them. I do like that the models come in a variety of sizes this season, as that will truly show who has the ability to design for anyone.

I loved the winning design because the cut and flow was universally flattering…as compared to the camouflage thing on the other plus model. But of course she was very tall. It was an eye catching colorful print that I could see Michelle Obama wearing. I don’t think an under 30 would wear it, but heck!!! Us over 50s spend money too!

I often wonder if anyone is paying attention to us??? I can’t even find any matte eye shadow anymore. It’s all metallic glittery stuff. I finally told the young 20 something sales girl…do you guys realize we older women actually have some disposable income and spend money on makeup also?

I liked that the very shy guy who designed for the plus size model (the top look, not the gray doily) ASKED the model if she was comfortable showing skin. I liked the sleeve on his design but not the print for the top.

There really was no suspense in who was going home.

Actually, I thought the gray dress was the worst. The designer was terrific at her interview, so I was pleased she stayed. She better relax and perform.

I didn’t get the oohs and ahhs over the camo top/sporty skirt outfit. I thought it was pretty lame, actually.

Reminder: Episode 2 is tonight. Unconventional AND team challenge! I predict tears, backstabbing, and under-the-bus throwing.

The previews following week one showed there is a big cheating scandal coming but we don’t know which week.

“I have the twins…” :frowning:
Lol

Lord have mercy, those two are on my nerves.

I thought this was one of the worst unconventional materials weeks ever. Nothing seemed really transformed to me. I did agree with the winning team and the winning look, but I thought the overall runway lacked creativity.

Me too! (About the twins)

I’m hoping for a double elimination soon so the twins can go together. Man, they’re annoying!

I agree that the young man’s green garbage bag dress was lacking in just about every area, but I like him and really wish he cold have stayed and the short haired twin would have been out. There is no way she is cut out for the a fast paced career in fashion design. Also, this would create an opportunity for her sister to shine without having to spend her time holding her sister’s hand.

Lifetime wants the “drama” that the twins cause. I really like the young man also that made the green garbage dress. But his dress was really awful.

The twins may be annoying – or just edited to appear that annoying. This is my biggest beef with PR - the insistence on drama. There are plenty of successful competition reality shows without it, and I wish PR would take the hint.

The men’s designer on winning team could get more credit for painting the fabric, and incorporating it in others’ designs.

The professor on losing team could have offered a suggestion to nice man who left

I’m not a fan of group challenge for unconventional challenge -kind of took the innovation out of play. Shawn would have been toast on her own (a good thing). I agree that judges seem more receptive to “real fabric” look of this challenge where as in past they reward people who used not fabric materials. Lengths of plastic is no different than using a tablecloth or other things slammed in past. I thought team that used can-holding circle stuff did the most with a “non-fabric” item… other than that and bottle caps I didn’t see a whole lot.

Tim: “Welcome to Royal Waste Services…”

Just in case anybody thought that the less-than-subtle product placement could get no worse.
