So the wave that happened on the 28th, was it for the waitlist applicants who got rejected or were those people also successful in getting accepted??

@choiy20: Some UC’s will send a denial and some will just close the waitlist and not admit any more students once they have reached their enrollment targets.

I know for a fact, UCSD hasn’t sent a denial yet. They don’t deny anyone until the end with everyone else.
So some people are expressing false statements? I thought it would have been by the end of the month as well. It logically makes sense, but I don’t even know what to believe anymore, I am just trying to hope and pray to god I get in lol.
I got off the waitlist a few days ago but I haven’t been able to find my financial aid package. Where would I be able to view it?

Has anyone gotten off for international bus/management science?

My son got off the waitlist a few days ago for data science. He really wanted cs. Can somebody please let me know how much of cs is covered in dsc curriclum? Is anyone in similar situation? He needs to decide by Thursday. He has SIRd to UcDavis for Computer science. Any input is greatly appreciated. All the best to everyone
@sclaraparent Congrats on your son getting off the waitlist for Data Science! Both DS and CS are extremely competitive, but DS does have a 3% lower yield rate than CS at UCSD. DS and CS are very similar to each other in the first couple years, but then slowly drift apart as DS gets a bit more stats heavy whereas CS doesn’t. If your son chooses to go to UCSD for DS, then he’ll have 2 attempts to get into CS. I believe the requirements are having over a 3.2 GPA in your CS classes, and then after that it’s a lottery draw.
