Did you hear anything yet?

For people who found out merit already. Did that come with your mail acceptance package?

And if so, how long after your email acceptance did you receive that?

Came on portal about 5 days after acceptance

Got it, thanks

Could anyone share what they recieved in merit scholarships with stats?

Or if anyone didn’t receive any merit

Does anyone have experience handling the fall semester with a spring 2026 admittance? Outside of working, traveling, CC, etc during the fall downtime, have you heard of any other ways these students deal with this? Would be awesome if UT offered a transition program at a local CC or on campus program.

My friend’s son attended local CC & transferred credits. Saved them $

My new question, if my daughter commits for her Spring acceptance will that make it more unlikely that she will come off the fall waitlist since they know either way she will be going there?

Last year, my son put a deposit down for Spring and they called him in May and said they had an opening for him in the Fall.

Unrelated to your question, but have you recieved anything regarding merit scholarships yet?

Not yet

My daughter was accepted with a merit scholarship late January. She will be rejecting her offer tomorrow. I hope this gets someone off the waitlist. Good luck to all!

Waiting to see what the merit is prior to depositing. Haven’t seen anything yet either for Spring admit.

Today’s a holiday so you most likely won’t hear today. Wed - Thursday ? We heard 5 days after acceptance

Does anyone know if there is still an issue with Freshman housing availability?

Not sure if helpful but my daughter was waitlisted for Fall, accepted for Spring. I reached out to admissions today re: Spring merit scholarships and they said merit for Spring typically doesn’t come out until JUNE which is a bit of a concern in determining if my daughter is going to wait until Spring, we’d like to understand merit before she would commit.

Oh wow well that’s a huge problem. How do they expect people to decide before knowing how much it’s gonna cost???

Exactly! My daughter sent a response back noting its challenging for applicants who were waitlisted for Fall, admitted for Spring to decide to essentially delay their college start w/out understanding financial commitment. It doesn’t make logical sense to me. I’ll update if I learn anything helpful.

That’s craziness. June is obviously after the commit date has passed for all other universities. That’s asking these kids to potentially give up other scholarship offers or good fits on the “hope” that they get some kind of merit???
