my grandmother can get in too–this is getting bad
now granted, his counselor did send in his mid year transcript so idk if that replaces his srar and for that reason he still might be getting considered
It’s just so weird because at one point, people were getting blanks. Still gonna say it probably doesn’t mean anything though
Maybe someone should try with random info?
I imagine it still has to be a UTK associated email for it to work
I didn’t update my SRAR manually since I was afraid to do so after the last issue. However, the school did send it to me, and it shows received.
On a brighter and sunny note it is almost 60 degrees here in Ohio WOW!
nice! Did you apply/get into ohio state?
The other 8-10 they applied to we have declined based on our list below
D2 is done with all her admits she got into every school she applied
D1 we still have 2 deferred UTk and Ohio State

|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Ohio State University | Deferred | D | 22-Mar | Y | Y | FAFSA | May 1 2024 | |||
| University Of Tennessee | Deferred | D | 22-Feb | Y | Y | Y + FAFSA | May 1 2024 | |||

Some good choices. Funny how we all get different results.
Sorry hijacking the Tennessee thread for one post
I had contacted OSU after the deferred for my first daughter it was disappointing. Here is the response i got
I had been reminding her the importance of the her ACT but she refused to believe that her ACT would have any impact My D2 ACT was 32 and her’s was 27 composite super scored.
Hello A… and P…,
Thank you for contacting Undergraduate Admissions. First, I want to assure you that receiving a deferral decision is by no means a bad thing. We liked what we saw in D1’s application, and we want to review everything a second time in the context of the rest of our applicant pool before making a final decision. Each application we receive undergoes a rigorous holistic review process, and our decisions are never based on one single factor. While I am unable to compare one applicant to another, I do want to share some of last year’s admitted class statistics to display how competitive Ohio State continues to get each year.
Last year, 50% of admitted students who submitted the ACT scored between a 28 and 33, and 50% of admitted students who submitted the SAT scored between 1340 and 1480. Additionally, 98% of admitted students ranked in the top quarter of their high school class, and 72% of admitted students ranked in the top 10% of their high school class. I share these statistics to demonstrate that a student’s decision, such as D1’s deferral, does not necessarily reflect the student’s academic potential, but rather the competitiveness of our current year’s applicant pool.
D1 is not required to submit any additional application materials alongside her deferral decision. If she wants, she is welcome to submit a midyear transcript or any supplemental application materials, and they will be reviewed when her application is reviewed a second time around. However, applicants are not required to submit more materials and will not be at a disadvantage if they do not.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jacob Strang

we do not have that… ![]()
I am sorry have what?
Yea, Ohio State is getting tougher. We’re leaning towards accepting the direct admit business we received there–the Fisher school is very impressive.
i was surprised i got into ohio state with honor scholars my SAT is only a 1330
what is your gpa?
almost a 3.9 weighted
Yes D2 who got into Fisher is also very excited.
We are torn between Haslam and Fisher but for both D1 is deferred and i want them to go to school together and so do they.
Haslam offered a 13k scholarship but OOS tuition is killing me. I do not take loans so it would be a stretch if both had to go to UTK without a substantial scholarship.
Fisher is more feasible as it is in State but waiting on scholarship for D2 and admit for D1
Yea, we’re in same boat—trying to decide between Fisher and Haslam, assuming we get into UTK. We went to Fisher Friday last week and we were amazed by the opportunities there–super impressive.
we didnt mark honors college on our app–prob should have. Did you get into honors program?
