This blows me away. My OOS applied last year’s EA and was accepted in December. He was wooooed so much that UTK became a strong 2nd choice when he originally applied as a “whatever”. UTK’s admissions process last year was amazing. His Counselor was attentive and even sent personal note after student admit day. It was the ONE school we felt really wanted him. Such a shame to see the opposite this year. I’m sorry for all the angst you all are feeling. And I’m lurking here b/c a close friend is applying and feeling the angst. I’m now waiting on pins and needles for them. And btw - my son’s portal is still active… and he has school email etc.

Yes. Unless it was before 2/18. I think it might have meant something prior to that date.

I have to caveat that I Personally don’t feel any angst, as I don’t even have a student that applied this year. I’ve been following the thread to get info. for next year with a potential applicant…I just feel for these parents (and my daughter’s older senior friends) who are getting such a negative admissions process!
A friend of mine signed up but his email did not say you have been admitted or list a major.
I think decisions will be out tonight at 7 based on the new portal change and late-February deadline. Good luck everyone!
Was this recent? Some people reported not having a major at first, but after trying it at a later date a major was listed.
Didn’t you report your deferred daughter having a “decline admission” button under resources tab a few days ago? I think it’s telling that she wasn’t in the directory, but had a “decline admission” option. The directory could be a good sign but I don’t think it is a definite answer.

I clicked on this link The University of Tennessee, Knoxville - Admitted Student Tours, picked March 1st and then it took me to another page saying
Admitted Student Tour
We can’t wait to meet you, (with daughter’s name listed)!
However, we are not listed in the directory?

I would suggest scrolling up and reading previous replies on this. We don’t know what it means, but I have not seen anyone who can not sign up for the admitted students tour.

Ours too. First time it has not been blank and now showed awaiting decision for the first time

i checked this morning and it had the go vols in the middle and blank after status… but now everything is back as it was… no go vols and it says awaiting decision. ugh.
Okay guys, I need some help. I clicked on a link to an admitted students tour that someone whose kid was already admitted recently posted. I was able to sign up after I logged in, and in the confirmation email, it says “we see you have been admitted for (my major).” Is everyone getting this when they register and it’s just a system glitch?
