Has anyone gotten their acceptance packages yet? Anything fun in them? We have one that was supposed to arrive today but it looks like there was a screwup at the post office and it got mishandled and won’t be here until after xmas.

Agree with the popularity of these due to social media and even a surge of kids finding country music cool (Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, etc.) - attending an SEC in the South has become a status symbol here in the Midwest. It is sort of unfortunate for students that had interest in these schools before they become “it” spots.

Right there with you - we are OOs as well (IL). We were also part of the SRAR glitch issue though and received acceptance notification a day late. Excited none the less and feeling fortunate.

Looks like my daughters package was shipped yesterday and expecting delivery tomorrow.

That is exactly what happened to my daughter. Opened up the portal Wednesday evening and she was accepted but declined for Honors Program (encouraged to reapply as a current student) - we are OOS.

Is it me or does it seem like TN letting in a lot of people with the “glitch”. We wish we now had it. Are they trying to avoid a PR issue by admitting a lot of those with the glitch?

I think a lot of people here with the glitch are probably are posting, but I know my son had 4 friends with the glitch and 2 were accepted and 2 were deferred.

Was the decline for the honors program information provided separately or as part of the acceptance letter?

Mine was part of the glitch and was admitted, but two of his classmates were as well and were deferred so

Has anyone who had to fill out google form hear anything yet? Her portal as of yesterday remains the same. I emailed the person who sent form and I haven’t heard anything.

From what I see looks like if you were above the threshold - say 28 ACT 1300 SAT and 4.0 Core GPA you got in with glitch 
if under got deferred
so same as non glitch

She is above those stats. This whole thing is ridiculous- it would’ve been nice of them to respond back yesterday. I’m assuming they just shut up the first round of people. I was told we were the 60th person on spreadsheet

OK then who knows, and campus is likely shutting down for the holiday break.
D24 emailed her state rep that looked like VT SRAR sent to UTK on Nov 21st and that was at 730pm long before it was a known issue and have not gotten any response at all. Did not get google form but her friend who was deferred on 19th and did not have the SRAR issue got emailed the form.

FWIW, that same state rep is likely “shut down for the holiday” as well.
