29 ACT is about 1330-1360 SAT.
1400 SAT here and was deferred OOS
Without knowing majors as well itās really hard to decipherā¦perhaps thatās the missing link? Ive told my junior daughter regardless of SAT score, she shouldnāt expect an answer from UTK until February next year, which will be well after answers from a favored safety. Itās definitely a method to trim out those without a true, deep interest in the school!
Are you supposed to update grades through SRAR or does your college counselor send in?
My guidance counselor sends a mid year report but Iām going to update the SSAR myself as well. Thatās all Iām doing though, Iām not having new letters sent because honestly I donāt even think theyāll have time to look at them. Iāve got other great acceptances with merit from others. So while I absolutely loved my tour at UTK I also absolutely loved some other schools as well and will end up exactly where Iām supposed to

Great outlook! Iāve been back and forth with my daughter on whether she needs to update SRAR but I know her counselor submitted her mid year grades.
It is my understanding that UTK does not look at the transcripts from the high school, only at the SRAR. Our high school sent Q1 grades and admissions told us they need it in the SRAR. My guess here is that itās easier for them to compute their own GPA by using data in the SRAR rather than having to scrape the transcripts from different high schools. But please validate what Iāve said before acting!

I was deferred EA and just logged in to my portal and saw thisā¦ It wasnāt there a few days ago when I went in to update the SRAR. Does anyone else have this?
Yes, but D admitted major is filled in itās not blank.
She did not update the SRAR.

At this point I wish theyād just make admissions rolling. They obviously canāt prevent glitches very well

I was deferredā¦I just checked and mine looks like that except the admitted major says Psychology.
D major is Psychology tooā¦so maybe doing it by majorsā¦

Just checked my sons and itās there now and admitted major is also filled in. It was definitely not there before.
Congrats, Iām sure thatās a pretty good sign. Iām thinking it is possible itās by major/random because everyone Iāve asked who was deferred has it. Only difference is some are filled in and some are not.
Iām curious what it means bc D didnāt update SRAR with fall grades which were all good (3) A (2)B
Im hoping she still considers UT but i donāt think she will thatās why she didnāt update.
We have the same. Did not update the SRAR yet (face it, PTSD from UTK SRAR issue) b/c his semester doesnāt end for a few weeks.

Is admitted major filled in?
yes. It has Slate ID: (and a #); UT NetID: blank; Student ID: blank; and Admitted Major: filled in. IDK if I can read into that???
