my admitted major is blank but i was not early action. i applied december 15th. this just appeared today at all with an id etc.

Everything is gone now except the slate ID just within the last few minutes it changed!
Admitted major was showing.

same…previously visible “Admitted major” line is gone… what is going on here?.. I want to type more but I won’t… but I’m thinking a lot about this application experience…

Ah, remembering handwritten applications, no internet or cell phones, and admission notification by (snail)mail. Those were the days.

All gone except for Slate ID. Yesterday the Admitted Major was blank.
I don’t have confidence in portal checking for UTK after the SRAR issue.
Anecdotally, I’ve spoken to three OOS students who got into UTK - 2 from NJ, 1 from NC – high stats kids. None will be accepting UTK b/c they have much better offers. Meanwhile broken hearts on the A/B OOS students who thought UTK was a good fit for them. We’ll see what happens in the end, but it’s crazy to me that a few newly popular state schools are chasing away the kids which were their targets just a few years ago. The top few percent have many better options.

UTK, Auburn, Clemson, and U of South Carolina are the “it” schools right now. All are fine schools, but let’s be honest, were all safeties or easy to mid targets for the vast majority of applicants. The education didn’t magically get better in 3 years. For a multitude of reasons, everyone and their uncle are applying.

I think everyone has reasons for applying to certain schools and it’s not a great idea to paint with such broad strokes.

This is so strange. My admitted major and other items are gone now, too. I wonder what is going on.

I just checked - I have no spot for an admitted major - just the Slate ID is still there. This school hates me I think

Counselor name has changed to “Smokey Dog”…… I’m so confused!

Our counselor’s name has changed too! But it’s just a normal name. Wonder why everyone is getting a new counselor?

My counselor is now Smokey Dog. Anyone know why the change? Are they trying to reduce emails to AOs?
My daughter’s counselor is now Smokey Dog too. She was admitted in December. Maybe that’s why my daughter never received a response when she emailed her counselor over a month ago.
