I had applied for the tour last night because I hadn’t checked here just in a while, the email had no mention of either a major and no blank. I think that portion of the email has been patched out

I did it this morning and my major and college is still listed
But shouldn’t have been just blank like other people if I hadn’t gotten in
The idea is that this is a “tell” you’ve been admitted. I was deferred EA (OOS), and when I first signed up for the tour, it was blank. I did it a few hours later and my major and college were listed. I do plan on touring if I get in so I made a new tour reservation this morning, and my 1st choice major and college were still listed. Obviously no one knows if this means anything, so I wouldn’t worry too much.

You could, just make sure you cancel the reservation afterwards if you don’t actually plan on going. Again, don’t stress too much; there’s always the possibility your application hasn’t been re-reviewed yet so there’s no updated decision. I would recommend scrolling up and reading some of the replies from a few days ago as well. One commenter emailed a friend of theirs who works in the IT department at UTK about this “tell” and relayed his response here.
Yea i canceled it the first time and I did read the commenter about the friend and all that. The only reason I’m not completely anxious around it is because I know I couldn’t have tried any harder

My sons was blank
As of today? Mine was blank at first but then changed when I tried at a later date.
My sons major was blank on the email when we tried a few days ago. Afraid to try again.

Has anyone called admissions and gotten a definitive answer? I called Friday and the lady I spoke to just said late February but I’ve seen on here people are getting different responses all around.
No, we called Friday and emailed AO and both said last week of February.
Last year UTK admissions announced on 2/20 that decisions would be released on 2/21 at 7pm so maybe we hear something tomorrow!

I was looking a couple weeks ago and noticed that too, hoping we’re on to something !
Will update, just called the University Honors Office. We, too, have an option for an Honors Lunch invitation but originally got an Honors denial email. The person I spoke with sounded a little surprised and said she should not have the lunch invitation if she wasn’t accepted into the program. She was going to double check on it and send an email to my daughter one way or the other. Will update.
