Upcoming changes to the way we log in

I haven’t logged out, so I haven’t been signed out and had to log back in, but my current password won’t meet the new requirements, so I would like to change it.
However, I do not see a “change password” option anywhere in the Profile page.
How do we change passwords?
Thank you.

I was just able to do a password reset. So far no more error issues. I’m on an iPad.

I had no idea about any changes to passwords as I’m not on this board much anymore. I got only the page with error message last night. Figured site was just down. Same thing earlier today. I only saw the message about the change after I did what @4kids4us did - clicking on different forums until one worked. That took me to this thread and I saw the post about deleting cookies, which I did. That enabled me to get into all the other forums, but still couldn’t sign in. Then I saw skieuropes post about having to reset.

I’m sure there are many, many posters who are only getting the error message when they open CC.

I found the change password on the only device that i am logged into, but still get an error page. WTH

@Genevieve18 On the login page there is a “Trouble logging In?” option.

It is unfortunate that this happened just as activity seemed to be picking up after the redesign.

nicki20 is back with a new name. I had of a bit of an different situation. Like others I couldn’t login but the email I had used to set this account up I don’t have access to. Thus I couldn’t get access to change the password. Oh well.

@FlyMeToTheMoon, you don’t need to be logged in to reset the password. You need to click on the “Trouble signing in?” link on the sign up page for that.

@CottonTales,

Click on “sign in” then enter your email address. Then click on “Trouble signing in” link.

They will email you a link to reset your password.

They have probably been giving the wrong advice to go to one’s profile and change your password there.

I was able to reset my password on my iPad just now after being locked out of the site since last night. The login page kept spewing out error codes with the old password today even after the issue was fixed this afternoon.
I reset the password to include a symbol after reading skieurope’s post and it worked.

I’m back. I experienced the same problem as TomSrOfBoston, issues with email address and pw.

This is sad. I only get a message, undefined index, when i tey to change password. I thought i would just log out and then back in with a new password. I CANT EVEN LOG OUT! I still got the message undefined index followed by some code.

@nicole20 message @CCadmin_Sorin and ask him to change the email associated with your original account. In post #16 in this thread he wrote

@CottonTales, we have reset the pass so you should have received an email with the next steps on that. Once that’s done, please let me know if you are able to log in. Thanks!

Yet another well-executed “fix” for something that wasn’t broken.

It’s not like this fix is costing people money. People complained last time and they moved on eventually.

@nicole20 It may be costing CC money. Usage of this site has plummeted since the initial revision and that affects advertising revenue.

@CCadmin_Sorin I stil can’t get in and can’t message you. My real user name is aggiemomhelp

I sent an email earlier, but no reply yet.

@aggiehelpformoms, you should be getting an email to reset the password on the email address associated with your @AggieMomhelp account. Let me know if you can log in.

@CCadmin_Sorin, I’m not logged in. I attempt to log in by entering my email address, and then I click on “Trouble signing in?”, just as you suggested, and it gives me an error. That’s why I’m saying I can’t change my password. What else should I do?

I appreciate your response and hope you’ll be able to help me further.

@CCadmin_Sorin @skieurope I was able to do a password reset and get into CC with my original username.

Really wish this had been addressed upfront – users should have been notified of the new password parameters BEFORE the new login was put in place. And still don’t see the benefit of the new logon, but hopefully there is one to somebody.
