To clear cookies on iPad using Safari:
Go to settings.
Click on Safari
Go to Advanced (at bottom of page)
Click on Website Data
CC should come up on the list. If not type it in “search” box.
Swipe on CC to delete cookies.
I also did not clear any chache or history.
I know the issue I had was that I had a period in my passoword, which did not count as a symbol. Exchanging it for something like a question mark or excalamation point fixed the problem.
I was unable to log in till I went to my desktop computer today. I have been using my phone for CC exclusively. During the period that I was “locked” out of CC, I had fun with Reddit and it felt like there are way more students at R than at CC.
Glad that I got to login and use CC again tho.
Thanks, @emilybee. Is there anyone here who has been on CC for a very long time (ie 2004-ish)? Several posters who have have been unable to get onto cc because they get a message when they try to update their password that they can’t register because you have to be at least 13 years of age! None of us oldie-goldies recall anything about having to put in an age or DOB in any early iteration of CC, but this seems to have been an issue somewhere along the line in their database somehow?
So, as another oldie goldie, I am even more reticent to attempt to update my password until this is FOR SURE fixed so that there won’t be additional obstacles to updating the password and attempting to log in again.
Has anyone else (regardless of when you first registered) encountered the “have to be 13 years old” message? Were you able to get around it? For anyone who is reading and has had this happen and cannot post, I am hopeful @CCadmin_Sorin will post his email address so you can contact him.

@jym626, this is one of the issue that has been identified and is being worked on by the team. As previously stated, there’s not much we can do until these fixed are rolled out unfortunately. Thanks!
After I logged in my username changed. Is there anyway I can get it back?
Glad to hear this is one of the issues that is being addressed. That wasn’t clear. Understood that this takes time, which is why I am doing nothing until my computer reboots itself.
Once I cleared everything on my desktop and phone, everything is good for me now, but I had to change passwords.
Yes, that’s another issue that is currently being worked at. You are expected to have your username updated back.
I was logged in on my phone just fine, made the mistake of trying to log in from my laptop, got locked out on both laptop and phone, not recognizing my login attempts even though I only use my email. Finally today I tried to reset my password, login worked and I’m back in on my phone, haven’t tried accessing from my laptop with the new reset password though.
Now I’m getting baad spam which I haven’t seen in a long time. A supposed Samsung contest, followed by a spin the wheel type. Argggh. My usual tricks don’t make it go away for very long.
Any chance this is related to these changes? Something missing when they updated or fixed?
I still can’t sign in on my phone. Well, unless I open an incognito window, then I can.

Yes, that’s something we have worked on on the side and we finally got to release today. Everyone is working diligently to solve these log in issues as well so hopefully I have some more positive news to share shortly!
Well…will wonders never cease. Miraculously, I am back in as you can see…because I can finally post.
I first reported this issue via email to Sorin on Monday night maybe 7:30 EST. He kindly sent me the link to change my password, which I immediately did. BUT I could not log in because CC thought I was under age 13. It was this way at least through midday today.
When I got home, I tried again on my iPad (because hope springs eternal, you know) and it worked.
I have to wonder how many folks have just bailed on this whole thing. Many folks I know continue to have issues with resetting their passwords. I’ve noticed (because I could read) that many very regular and helpful posters are MIA.

Please…please please don’t make any more changes until your developer does a significant beta test to be sure that the change actually works. This was a big and avoidable mess.
@lookingforward I am getting the same spam. I just restarted my phone, and then it logged me out and started getting the error messages. Had to clear 7 days of history and then it allowed me to log back in, only to get the spam spinning wheel again. What a major PIA.
Glad to hear some are able to get on. I will still wait to hear for the grand CC Admin Poo-bah that all is fixed, and what to do to reset passwords.
