Friend got in with much much lower grades.
Super heartbroken.

Auto admit daughter denied for CS, Plan II her second choice, waiting to hear. Her third choice was Moody Undeclared, so a little confused why she got Liberal Arts Undeclared–unless it’s a sign that she got Plan II. Sigh…

Also wondering about honors. I got accepted into McCombs. Awaiting BHP notification. I applied before the priority deadline, and the BHP website says I should receive a decision by today. My honors tab still says “submitted” under status.

Yes, daughter is devastated and is asking why she has worked so hard. She has excellent ECs, incluidng two summer internships in a CPA firm.
I did all my studies outside the US. When I went to college, I did not get into any of the highly ranked colleges, but it was clear to me why I did not get in. The subjective nature of US college admissions is so confusing.

I applied to AET which is in fine arts, and I got deferred. “The Office of Admissions is still in the process of reviewing your application for your selected major.”
We are happy! Our daughter got CAP’ed. Hopefully will get UTSA or UTA and then the next year be back in Austin. COLA / Health & Society major.
She really struggled during freshman year (COVID) and then worked hard to get everything back up into the A’s again 10th, 11th and 12th grade years.
My oldest got PACE and loved it. Graduated 2023 in Advertising
My middle is in Chemical Engineering. class of 2026
She will be our third - class of 2028!

Nothing new - on the honors tab for plan 2 or engineering honors. It looks exactly the same as it did yesterday.

This came out at 7:24pm CT.
This is what is posted -given how things have gone this year, I have no idea. I have read/heard that honors programs notify a few days to a few weeks later.
“November 1 is a priority on communication. Applicants that have met the November 1 date for Plan II Honors will receive notification about their application to our program by February 1, 2024. This notification may be a final decision or a deferral until March 1, 2024. Applicants that meet the regular deadline of December 1 will be notified of a decision no later than March 1, 2024. Some decisions for Plan II Honors are made and delivered earlier than published decision dates.”
