Accepted OOS as Physics Major. Top 4% GPA, 1560 SAT, 11 AP courses. Pretty decent essays and good extracurriculars. I really didn’t expect to get in to UT but I’m so blessed that I did. Really excited to visit! Congrats to everyone that got in, and if you didn’t you’re gonna do great no matter where you go!

Same in my house. My daughter is convinced she’s a failure and wonders what all her hard work was for. She just has to process this disappointment for now and we will be there when she’s ready to figure out her next steps. It’s crazy how competitive college is!

Denied Plan II, deferred for Polymathic–which is kinda weird maybe since she was denied Computer Science. Thought Polymathic was only for School of Natural Science majors, and she’s now Liberal Arts Undeclared. So I don’t know. Anyway

Georgia is an awesome choice! Near top of my daughter’s list

That’s crazy!

Also admitted to Dean’s scholar honors, just appeared in the portal.

UT isn’t known for giving much, if any merit.

There is an appeal process described on the UT website. I don’t know how common or easy it is but I do know a current 2026 who got in after submitting 3 appeals. I know each appeal has to have new information and that is one reason some people apply TO so they have scores to submit as “new information” for an appeal. Best of luck.
