My son has been admitted to UT Turing program. He has paid $50 for the housing deposit. We are OOS and can someone share the steps to get Texas residency for him?

Do the students at UT Austin Touring program have the option to stay in the residential honors quads for the entire program? If yes, do lot of senior students stay in the housing dorms?
Did they state in the letter when the scholarships should come out?

My kid got accepted to the design school. has not accepted the offer and got an invite for the welcome to texas. we assumed it was for all accepted students but you need to register to be able to attend. We also attended an accepted students department tour this week.

Maybe you should ask this question in Turing discord group. My son also got accepted into Turing but we are in state.
My studentâs merit scholarship from Moody was in his portal last week.

Anyone know about a McCombs day for admitted students? My son has one for Plan II honors but have not seen anything for McCombs. Not even sure if that is a thing every year.
I am not sure where it was in his portal since he just showed it to me on his laptop, and I didnât find it on my own. Itâs a college-specific scholarship; I donât know where to find those. I think it was released to him on the 14th.

No housing contract yet for my D. Have most people received it?
My current high school junior plans to apply to UT business this coming fall. DD is auto admit due to top 1% ranking in state, but her SAT is only 1300. She has studied, and this is the highest score she has gotten so far. She plans to retake it. Do you think she has any chance of getting into the business school with a score in the 1300s range? Iâm just curious how business admissions went for students this year. Thanks.
SAT is being made mandatory for 2024-2025 admissions. Not clear how much weightage it carries as SAT is being introduced after 4/5 years. Also a lot of other changes. Difficult to chance based on this yearâs admissions as it was test optional. My best advise is to target to get at-least high 1400âs. Again every student is unique. ECâs, LORâs, essayâs play a huge role. Check some important changes like external LORâs being recommended.
Not yet. At the Welcome to Texas event today, they said the 1st and 15th of each month contracts will go out and housing assignments will open in June.
