UT Austin Class of 2029 Official Thread

Did anyone that got denied get a reminder to finish their scholarship application today? Wondering if there is a mistake in the application communication.

Several reminders! All that portal astrology coming back to haunt me!

Once you have the scholarship, you can ask them to fix the admission miscommunication!

Do you all think all honors decisions will be out by this Friday 2/28th?

I really really hope so

Ive hear that basically if you didn’t get in by last week, the decision you will get is a mass rejection notification across all honors.

Yeah, I thought the same, CSB and Turing seemed to have sent out departmental emails for all acceptances too. But acceptances are still happening (saw for some honors in this week along with rejections). We have a chance until March1st I think. I just hope we will know everything by March1st, so the wait will be over.

Does anyone know if CNS Honors are out? Polymathic Scholars, specifically.

Housing Contract - due date for singing the contract is to pay 300$ and sign the contract or we need to complete rest of the steps as well per the due date? anyone have more details who have already signed the contract?

Got denied at Deans today. Turing under review. Any idea if anyone got accepted into Turing yet?

There were some acceptances in the last 2 waves for Turing but haven’t heard anything in this week yet

Turing decisons seem to be out. Anyone still in Review? or accepted today?

Denied Turing. He is top 5 people in a Texas school of 650+, with 1590 SAT; however does not have stem competition experiences other than UIL. I am a bit disappointed. But he will do fine as long as he works hard for the CS degree which is so competitive to get in already.

True, same here. None of the Top 10 kids from our school of 950+ didn’t get in for Turing including my daughter. All these students are very good at CS UIL and have great stats. I think Turing looks for USACO Gold/Platinum level coding skills. Anyways, getting in CS itself is an amazing achievement, they can still try to get in Turing when they maintain GPA if they wish to. My D will be moving forward with CSB. Good luck to your son and to all our students!

Does anyone know if UT hosts regional admitted students events, specifically in California?

Any updates on this?

I’m still in-review, anyone else still not have decision for Turing?

Update: rejected from polymath :kissing:

Did you get an email? Or do I just assume rejection?

I saw one student in Reddit saying he/she is still in review for Turing on March1st.
