GOOD LUCK TOMORROW EVERYBODY!
Probably gonna be a ton of posts tomorrow as we all ask “anyone heard anything yet”? Remember some of the Tr*lls on Reddit love posting “it’s out” when it is not so ya gotta kinda look for a couple posts (with photo proof usually) to have confidence it is the “real deal”.
Hopefully we have a lot of happy new Longhorn families on here tomorrow!

Any OOS? We know the acceptance rate is <10% but still hoping!
I’ve heard 10% for OOS, likely lower this year as there was a 48% increase in OOS applications.

My daughter is! Yep, I read to expect 5% OOS state this year. But… we will soon know!

How will students be notified today of the EA results? Will they get an email to check their portal? How has this been done in the past?
In past cycles they got an email to check their portal. This typically happened anywhere between 4-8pm probably to minimize disruptions at school.

Last year the email didn’t come until 2/2, the day after decisions appeared in the portal. They came out at 7 pm ET on 2/1 but the portal then froze and nothing could be viewed again until 8:15 pm

Yes they will get an email to check their portal BUT historically that email can come a little bit after the portal is updated. So it’s possible they can check and find out before the email. I will be watching Reddit and here to see when people start getting notifications.

Heard several say they’ve been accepted within the last few days. TX high school. any proof online of this ??
Very unlikely. Most of us are very online and there’s been no mention of a second wave of acceptances after the small one last month.

Around what time will they announce the decision? any idea
Best guess based on prior years is after 4 pm CT, could be as late as 7 pm though.
My son has lost access to all the things he could access before, anyone else? HE is an auto admit, but this doesn’t seem like a good sign.
