UT Austin Class of 2029 Official Thread

it means they pushed the date back. or else a deferral. It is very confusing

I do agree that no word of any rejections is odd

Maybe they should not have stated that they “guarantee” a decision by January 15th for early action applicants after all. UT Austin Reinstates Standardized Test Scores in Admissions - UT Austin News - The University of Texas at Austin

Did anyone get deferred that had the $200 under WIO?

Very odd.

Same message as everyone…“You can expect to receive your admission decision February 15.”

I’m OOS, McCombs. My friends applying (Env science, English, physics) have all received the same thing! Not a single rejection.

can you still see it in portal? or they removed it after uploading decisions

same here – applied 9/8

See you all on Feb 15th! :sob: :sob:

That SMU acceptance with merit aid is looking better already.

This means that we can submit mid-year report (1st semester grade)?

My exact thinking. Kudos to SMU for making the majority of its decisions when promised. Still hoping UT will as well.

They’ll probably send an email tomorrow explaining what happened and if the decision pushback is a deferral or not.

anyone from school of education

Pushed back to February also. Valedictorian with a 99% SAT. Not sure what they need to still think about. I find this very frustrating and unprofessional, especially since Texas A&M did everything so quickly comparatively.

This is nuts. Why have release dates? So frustrating.

Whether this is a “deferral” or a “push back” what’s the difference? Either way the decision date is Feb 15.

If we officially got deferred, then we would be able to update our application and submit locis. If it’s a pushback, that means we can’t make changes to the application.

looks like today they only released acceptances which is weird since they should have already made the decisions if they read the accepted students applications…

Anyone have “still in review”?
