You said the only edge that UT has is tech. That’s not true.
They are higher ranked in multiple categories including many of the top majors.

“So internships and jobs are easier from UT.” Repeating it if it takes twice for you to understand.
UF is good the only edge UT has is many more tech companies hire from UT than UF.
FALSE
Is banking a subset of tech?
Do you understand the difference between business and tech?
Selective hearing. Maybe you should just speak to yourself.

On a lighter note…IT IS FINALLY FEBRUARY. Holy cannoli…they graduate in less than 4 MONTHS. Where did the time go…
Why are so many people in this thread being so argumentative and aggressive? Is it the stress of waiting? Just relax y’all. It’s unnecessary.
What’s the point of comparing two excellent schools? Anyone would be fortunate to gain admission to either and would be well served with a degree from either. The rest is up to the individual.
My son was offered PACE (he graduated high school in 2023 and is now a sophomore Econ major Longhorn). His class rank was just shy of 6% (i think like 6.9 or something). Both of his choices of major were in COLA (Econ/Govm’t). I don’t recall meeting any OOS parents during the PACE parent orientation sessions but I guess it could be possible?
I can’t sing enough praises about the PACE program. The advisors, George & Christina are top notch. The commute to ACC Rio Grande campus was a mild announce but freshman year flies by and my son didn’t complain much at all.
I wouldn’t be surprised that PACE is not for OOS as with CAP. But glad to hear PACE is good.
Have people already been accepted into business honors or have your students already been invited to interview?
I have seen business honors acceptance about 10 days ago in Reddit.
Does UT Austin match merit-based aid from other schools?
No.
I think the issue is HOW MANY of these do-called deferrals there were. Texas Admissions guy estimates 95% of EA applicants received an email saying the admissions team needed “more time.” The word deferral was NOT in the initial notification and was only added after people freaked out because they didn’t understand what the notification even meant. That should tell you they were NOT typical deferrals.
Ehhh…they offered 5000 kids on 1/15, which is 25% to 30% of the total that will be offered at the end of the day. Sounds about right to me, and very similar to Michigan, USC, etc. But I get your point.
I was more replying to the folks on this thread that continually state that Texas did NOT communicate there would be deferrals on 1/15. It’s just not true. I know they are super frustrated - and the facts don’t fit their narrative that UT blew it - but give it a rest.
Anyone get their decisions back applying EA? One of my friends applied EA OOS and got a decision a few days ago, applied business
Several in this forum got admitted EA on 1/15. Havent seen anyone get admitted after that (even on reddit where some will post false info for a reaction by the masses). Or are you asking about honors..there have been several of those trickling out last week.
Not sure if friend got the honors, but said got a final decision back..
