I think the first choice major thing isn’t an indicator, I’m prob bottom 5% of UT applicants and I only see my first choice major as well

Back in 2022, my valedictorian didn’t get any of his majors at UT. Don’t be surprised if you don’t get your preferred major. UT is not a safety school. For now, just wait and see until this evening. Good luck though.

I agree, I would not be surprised if UT knock a 1.6%, ACT 35 kid off his major choices.

Oh yeah. My kid was shocked. He had full ride offers at other schools, but the state flagship didn’t even give him his preferred major. It was surprising to say the least. Regardless, he went elsewhere with a full ride. He’s thriving now. Very happy where he is. Things have a way of working out. Now I’ll wait and see how things go for my current senior tonight.

What is his major? Some majors in UT is very competitive such as CS, and UT is now not safe to anyone

He applied business and science. Turned down for both. He’s doing business honors elsewhere.

Still can see 3 scholarships, but they are changed to African Leadership Bridge Endowed Scholarship, General Financial Aid Application for International Students and Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application. We’re not African American or International, so feel wired. The rows of school and first major are gone either which were there yesterday.

They brought the scholarships back without the school/major rows. We see 3 too. 3 more hours to go!

The 3 scholarships are changed to African Leadership Bridge Endowed Scholarship, General Financial Aid Application for International Students and Continuing & Transfer Student Scholarship Application. Pretty sure the first one yesterday was for new coming freshmen, but now is African leadership and we’re not African American.
