I think the horn blowing is going to turn out to be a traitor inside the community … maybe Enid? Or someone like Spencer trying to get rid of Rick’s people.
@alh don’t forget to stock pile beans, bullets and bandages while you are preparing that list.
I think it was weird that some people came in through the gate that they hadn’t seen before. I think that perhaps at least one of them is a traitor and is working with the wolves.
Birth control and antibiotics, too.
According to the web, the main candidates for “who’s honking the horn” are the Wolves, Ron, or Father Gabriel. I admit I hasn’t thought of the priest. Interesting.
Eugene thought he didn’t have any skills, remember? So he pretended he did.
Nothing but pure speculation, but the season previews (including scenes in upcoming episodes), show Enid outside the fence ---- and we know she was frequently wandering outside — and actually sitting in a vehicle that looks kind of like a truck to me. She came in alone, or with people that were exiled, so she may still have ties to some on the outside. She appears in that preview a couple of times so it’s like they’re flashing “hint, hint” to me. But maybe not.
I don’t read the comic series material, but I gather from other WD forums that Spencer is a potential bad guy. Since Rick laid out the plan to the entire Alexandria community in minute detail, a traitor in that group would have a good idea of when to cause a distraction that would gravely threaten Rick and his people in the woods.
I"m guessing Enid in conjunction with one of the Wolves or Spencer.
The massive herd was a dramatic way to premiere but I think the massive threat to the community came too soon…it’s only the first episode of the season. They could have showed us the thousands milling in the quarry, established it as a potential threat, but drawn it out…maybe have a trickle lured out as a means of training the Alexandrians in the art of zombie defense.
The idea of luring a herd of thousands to go down the road 20-30 miles doesn’t seem like a smart plan to me. First, anything can happen to screw it up, as shown, but also, it just means you have that entire road system cut off for any future foraging or flight.
Anyone else think it odd that the Alexandrians just happened to have a helium tank and a package of assorted balloons?
^ I did.
Going to have to miss watching this Sunday live as I have to pick up niece and nephew from airport during airtime. Glad the preview seemed to focus on Enid. That’s a story line I can miss. I really do hope this season doesn’t become the Carl and Enid Story!
JSS = Just Survive Somehow (even if you have to kill and eat raw turtle)!
H thought the turtle might have the disease. Haha
Great episode! Heart pounding action. Loved Carol and Morgan.
I think the theory is that everyone has the disease.
^ Yes. I was thinking salmonella when she was eating it.
Carol is the biggest badass since Charles Bronson.
Carol is oh, so hot.
The big flaw in Morgan’s philosophy is that he has left behind a trail of defective people that go on to create a lot of heartbreak and unhappiness for good folks.
Carol is my favorite.
Along with Daryl, and Morgan - although I’m really afraid for Morgan. Those people who have served as the “moral compass” (or at least as a voice of conscience) for Rick’s group are all dead. I’m thinking about you, Dale, and you, Herschel.
Don’t even get me started on how TWD kills off a high percentage of black characters. Morgan may be a goner, but I still like him.
And Michonne. I still love her even if she is more in touch with her feelings now. And Glenn. I really worry about him since he is getting fewer scenes these days.
Of course Michonne - I almost forgot her because she’s been so quiet this season (although I did love her interplay with Morgan in the first episode).
