new to the convo, but i see both officers. are we thinking it could be portal astrology?

I don’t think the ratio is that crazy to warrant all this, I don’t think seeing both means acceptance

But if you’re rejected you can appeal with the AO, hence the contact, if you’re accepted you would talk to the coordinator person

does everyone see this in their financial aid portal? with the wording “if you are accepted”?

My student has that on his fin aid portal and he has already been admitted.

Have it, seems generic

I see it, I think everyone probably does.

is there any possible portal astrology?

My admissions portal looks exactly the same. I can see the AO and the coordinator. On the financial tab, it looks different. There used to be a big long statement on the right hand side that talked about the delay in the Fafsa and by completing the CSS profile admitted students will have an award statement with their admissions decision. Now that part is gone and it’s a condensed version:

maybe something from the past, whether it works or not? im really just looking to distract myself atp

Only two, including my D24, see only the coordinator.

Although for the record I believe in none of this, my S24 also has only the coordinator and the AO has disappeared. People with his credentials from his HS usually get admitted or waitlisted, but these days one cannot rule out a rejection too. So again to me this all means nothing.

My daughter only has an “admissions services coordinator” showing on her sign in page. . .

It will be interesting to come back later and see if any of this means anything.

It could mean something because of novel or carried over (from previous years) system defects. Some schools fix their problems while others don’t (or don’t know about the defects).

We have both, and while my D24 has the stats for WL or acceptance, there is no precedent of anyone from her HS being admitted to Wash U RD for the past four years. So not feeling optimistic
That fact, plus the smaller number of you that have only one admissions rep remaining leads me to think having both might not be a good sign?

This is intriguing. And I am 100% keeping it too myself. Cannot mention this to S24 and get him all wound up. Then, anything short of good news will land at my feet. Agonizing to wait, but that’s the path forward I think.

From our experiences in the past, if the portal stays the same, likely WL or Rejected. For the admitted students, the portal definitely looks different to move forward
We applied tons of in-state and out-of-state schools in the past three years.

I completely see where you are coming from, but how does this explain the confirmed admitted scholars with both visible?

This is not true. Those who have gotten in this year had their AOs in the portal all the way till decisions.
