I am also not linked to my FB and none of my recent posts have shown up on my page.

Have to say though- I’m liking the points (won’t mind seeing them go though if it means that we get our beloved ole CC back). I think it was Jym that racked up the greenies and now I understand why. Racking up the points is a nice little pat on the back.
“I can’t deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!” lol
(I’m really not that egotistical, I’m just trying the best that I can to find anything good here… besides the obvious cute factor)

How does one get points? Can they be redeemed or miles? ;)

How do we delete messages that have been sent to us personally now? I don’t like that they can be seen by anyone who clicks on our user names. If people wanted them public, they would have posted on the forum. It’s extremely obnoxious to change the rules after the event and make private posts public, in my opinion. What were they thinking doing that? I can deal with the rest but that is unacceptable.

@LasMa - We cropped the picture once we chose it, before we uploaded it. It looks like the avatar space is square, so try cropping your picture to a square size.

Hehehe. If only! I’d be on my way to paying for my honeymoon airfare

(We get them by Likes and Helpfuls)

Are those visitor messages or pms? I think only visitor messages can be seen.

I think you guys should go someplace very warm and very sunny for your honeymoon!

I still haven’t figured out what “visits” are.

I think it is visitor messages. Regardless if the poster wanted them to be public they would have posted them on the public forum. Could they be read by others before? I wasn’t aware of it if it was the case. I would still like to delete them now that I know they are public. And I’ll delete my PMs while I’m at it (I knew how to on the old site - can’t see how now). (brown cow)

I agree. I cannot figure how to delete pms.

I do like that I can go in my profile and see all the likes I have gotten, that is nice. It’s nice to be liked! :)

The public messages were always visible to everyone. I think they were previously called visitor messages.

Warm is where we’re going, SLS lol. Not sure where but it’ll be in June so the warm places are going to be comfortably hot

Yes, visitor messages were public, before.
Now, if we got to another’s profile, we can also track who liked you, which posts.

What do we mean by “linked” or “connected”? I’m always logged on to fb on this computer (no one else uses it). Does that mean all my facebook friends are seeing everything I’m posting here?

And just to make sure I understand this – ANY member of CC can post MY words to THEIR facebook? Seriously??

No, you would have to actually opt into linking the two together. If you didn’t, nothing you post here will go to facebook unless you want it to.

I can see a facebook share button being used here for individual posts but I can’t believe anybody would want the accounts totally linked. But, I just wont link mine, no harm done.

Yes, the visitor messages were always visible to everyone. Your PMs never were and still aren’t visible to others.

How do we now delete visitor’s and private messages? It was easy before and now I can’t figure out how.

Have had to change my profile so I don’t get the emails of posts I’m following any more. Was hit by way too many and they were clogging my inbox. They no longer let you know what was posted, just who posted and a link to the thread. Not very useful. :(

LasMa, you can see whether or not you’re connected to your FB by going to your profile (like how you change your avatar) and click on “Social” on the left. It will tell you whether or not you’re connected to your FB. (You’re not if you haven’t manually linked them.)

Yupppppppppppppppp. And best I can tell, no way to opt out.
It’s a brave new world out there.
