<p>I think you used to have to be logged in on CC to see another poster’s wall (if that’s the right term). If I recall correctly, CC members had some control over what was shown on their wall.</p>
<p>I’m rather disturbed to see all of my deleted PM’s going back to 2005 restored. I kind of thought that “delete” meant delete – rather disconcerting to know that CollegeConfidential has been storing all of that stuff in their database all along. Raises some rather big privacy issues as well as some questions about the true meaning of the word “private” in “Private Message”. </p>
<p>I don’t think being able to share posts is that much less private than it was before… you could ALWAYS do that by posting a link manually on your facebook-- I have done it. You really have no reasonable expectation of privacy for what you post in a public area of a public website. Nothing that was previously private has been made public. and nothing will show on your facebook unless you want it to be there.</p>
<p>I have a continuing problem accessing this board using Chrome. No matter what I do with my regular browser, I get this message:

<p>I tried clearing cookies and the browser cache & disabling adblock, but no go. </p>
<p>I can access the board using Chrome in “stealth mode” but that’s rather inconvenient. </p>
<p>Obviously, once we post anything on the internet, it isn’t private, but the FB function makes it easier to disseminate people’s writings. One of the great things about CC is all the information, advice, and people willing to give it. Will the FB function inhibit that? </p>
<p>@calmom, I am using chrome with no issues…so not sure if it’s the upgrade or not… :-? </p>
<p>And the emoticons are too small to see what I’m really picking, so hopefully it’s not one giving you the finger or something.</p>

<p>Wow, I hate this so-called upgrade. In the end it’ll be a good thing as the clunky layout designed to maximize page views will help keep me away.</p>
<p>I don’t have a major problem with it – just some details that I expect will be worked out. Now that we can have photos, I feel like I know you all a little bit better. </p>

<p>Figured out that I can see PMs using the envelope icon in the top righthand corner. I like that it shows the conversation thread - not just the PMs I rcvd but my responses to that poster as well. Trying to find some things to like.

<p>I bit the bullet and looked at my PMs. A brief search shows no deleted posts (albeit I didn’t go past a few days ago)</p>
<p>I just counted 216 pms saved in my box. This was impossible, before. Once you hit a certain number, you had to delete them or your box was full. </p>
<p>Why did dozens and dozens come from from beyond the pm grave? </p>

<p>I don’t understand the prominence of the time in each post. And the option to give a post a heading is gone, which was useful in a long running thread.</p>
<p>I just logged in with my phone. No way to advance to lastposts in thread. I gave up after 8 pages, but this one is on 23 pages. </p>
