<p>I don’t know how to get to the last post I read, not the last post of the thread. It used to be you hit that arrow and ittook you back to where you left off. '</p>
<p>Also, the red stars missing is annoying–it was helpful to quickly see where I’d been posting. (someone mentioned elsewhere the My Threads list, but that’s only started threads, I think (and incidentally, I’ve started 152 threads??? how embarrassing!)</p>
<p>The markers to indicate a thread you have participated in should be a priority. </p>

<p>Yeah, don’t quite understand how the post counts were figured, since Cafe and HSL posts were supposed to be excluded as well. In the coming days or weeks you may see your post count jump around a bit. Mine only increased by 100, though I may most of my posts in a private moderator forum. These details will all be worked out. I don’t have to tell you the scope of this project was quite enormous, but as I’ve said before we will get there and are confident you will eventually grow to love this site (albeit with some tweaks here and there based on your input).</p>
<p>As for the question about subscribed threads and accessing the control panel. These features can be found within your user profile. Click on your username in the top right of the screen to view your profile. You can click the Edit Profile button, then the edit profile link, and on the left you will see a menu that contains an option for Notification Preferences. That is where you can manage subscriptions.</p>
<p>emilybee–not to sound stupid here, but then what does bookmarking mean? it’s starred, or it’s on a list somehere? still confused. So, I just star everything I’ve posted on? Why the extra step?</p>

<p>Romani, to look at your old posts, click on your name in the upper right, then they are divided between “threads” and “replies” on the upper left side. </p>
<p>I’m so glad to know there’s less useful functionality, but I can probably find an animated sarcasm emoticon to express my feelings.</p>
<p>Romani, click on your name. Your profile page comes up. Then click on replies (it’s on the left under activity) </p>
<p>I think that is how you send someone a PM, too. You click on their name, it takes you to their page and then you click on “Message”</p>
<p>Also, don’t care one way or another, but a little surprised to see the ghost of the “Politics and Elections” forum still haunting the place.</p>

Wish it was like before and told me whether or not there were new replies. (Or am I missing that, too? This whole thing is confusing…) Honestly, most of my browsing is just seeing if there are new posts in the threads I regularly participate in </p>

<p>And what is that orange flame near the left side of some threads? It seems to indicate a never ending thread but I’m not sure. </p>

Someone asked about an ignore list. This should be viewable from your user profile. When you edit your profile you will see a list of items on the left, one of which is Ignore List. </p>
<p>Garland, I realize you’ve been with us for a long time, and we do appreciate your many contributions to our community over the years. This platform is much simpler than the old for sure, but we hope that you’ll eventually find most of your typical activity will still be supported. There’s just a lot to get accustomed to now, not to mention we will be making tweaks in the coming days and weeks. There probably is an emoticon to express your current feelings, though :)</p>

<p>Yes, it’s starred and also, on the top left of your page where it says bookmarked - all the threads you have bookmarked are there. Why it doesn’t do it automatically anymore, I have no idea. </p>
<p>I miss seeing how long people have been members next to their names. It has helped me determine a person’s credibility. Can that come back, por favor?</p>

<p>That was me and I figured it out. I couldn’t delete the post though… guess that’s another feature we’ve lost or I’m too dumb to figure out how to use. </p>
