<p>Anyone know about the iPad application? I keep asking and asking…but no answers. I liked that app…and it is NOT working now.</p>
<p>As another member of the canine contingent, here’s my humble opinions: I don’t care for the white background. I have enough snow on the ground to look at and my eyes are tired of white. I did like having the cafe posts count and now I’m a senior member- does that get me a senior citizen discount? I give everything else a day or two to see if I like it.</p>
<p>Does anyone else just find the “Activity” creepy? Do we really need to know when someone becomes an X Member? Or changes their pic?
I want to leave FB out of my CC, thanks

<p>Well, apparently not much is happening on my activity page and I think I like it that way. </p>
<p>Jym, there’s a facebook button under each post. When you click on it, a pop up comes up to let the post be shared on facebook. It shows the post, poster, and thread.</p>
<p>I’m just as inactive, onward! I still can’t figure out what “activity” is. It should be posting, shouldn’t it? Maybe it’s my clue to take my dog out for a walk. We might hit 30 degrees today!</p>

With this bunch a glass of wine makes more sense. Anyway I’m getting used to it. I still think tightening up the post boxes quite abit so that you see more than a couple messages above the fold makes sense. The avatars could be even 30% smaller also to tighten up the message box. For some reason it feels disjointed not being able to see more of the chain. </p>
<p>Here’s another suggestion: when a notification pops up in the lower left corner, it is now protruding into the comments or the list of posts by an inch or more. Have it stay only in the left margin to not obstruct our view. The print can stack into lines instead. </p>
<p>Anyone know how the bookmarks work? My list is currently showing a variety of threads dating back to 2004. Yes, I know, I’ve been here for way too long! </p>

<p>On another thread about all this, I moaned about how may people on other forums use a pic of their dog- only to find that seems to be the default here, for now. </p>
<p>Anyway, agree this all needs some way to compress. It’s too slow to scroll and scroll. Liked the yellow dots and stars that made it immediately apparently if there was a new post on a thread I had visited. It was also quicker to eyeball who had made the last contribution. PLUS, like where are the instructions for this new format? If I missed some comment about that, sorry, but after I got logged in, I just sat here stumped. wth?</p>

<p>I also hope to never have CC linked to FB in any way. That’s a quick way to lose the ‘Confidential’ in CollegeConfidential.</p>
<p>Sheesh, I want one list of “New Posts” as before, tight. Not this clutter. I don’t even know how I found this thread, to add this new post. And I want to be able to click something and find all my own recent posts, to see if there is new activity on those threads. Yes, I am venting.</p>
<p>There are so many really good functioning forum websites around - I think the designers of this new one really should take a look at some other sites and see what a really good site has on it, how they look and how easy they are to navigate. This one reminds me of how sites looked in the late 90’s. </p>

<p>I DO NOT want my posts to show up on FB. I have no need to have my kids stumble across their momma’s posts. I suppose if some wants to post a photo for themselves, good for them. But those details shouldn’t be broadcast on other forums.</p>
<p>I miss the stars showing where I posted and symbols telling me where new posts have activity.</p>
<p>I also want to get rid of all this white. I redesigned my old CC page to show as many posts as possible. I could see about 15-20 posts on a page before and about 5-7 posts on my screen. Instead, I can only see 2-3 posts on the screen without scrolling and only 10-12 posts per page. I also REALLY miss referring to a post by it’s chronological order, not by the time it was posted. Please change this!</p>

I do like having an avatar & showing off my dog.</p>
<p>I do love dogs and have a cute pic of mine. But I keep most of my details private- heaven forbid someone would recognize my dog. So that’s out. I think the blame is all the effort to make this like FB- generous spaces for posts to give that social feel. I am more about the content. Also, the kids may like all this, but the kids are just not all of what CC is about. We parents quickly run through conversations- and like to be able to quickly pick up where we left off. Funny, but in a way it’s same as the diff between high school life and grown up and/or professional life.</p>
<p>Anyway, the dog pix are adorable- and I like Lima’s pic. Maybe I need a telescope or crystal ball or Tarot cards.</p>
<p>EK, are you using the iPad application or going through Safari on your iPad? I can’t get the iPad application to work at all. It worked FINE until last night.</p>
