I’ve had problems all day and cannot decide if it is my location or the cyber issues.
Helping my S with his ED app and had issues with College Board, Common App and accessing his high school’s online grade report site. Very frustrating and I just gave up for today and told him to do same. Thinking he should push up his target “submit date” just in case there are more issues.
Answered my question above. Apparently certain documents were released that people thought would only happen if a dead man’s switch was triggered.

How is Julian tweeting? I thought Ecuador cut off his internet access a few days ago amidst allegations the leaks were interfering with U.S. elections.
@HarvestMoon1 – son has three apps to file by Nov 1st. Perhaps he should not wait until late in the evening of Oct 31st…just in case this sort of disruption strikes again. While I realize the CA system probably would not be a target, it could certainly be collateral damage.

Hasn’t anyone else noticed how wonky this site has been today? I’ve gotten some really oddball screens logging on…and then it’s been fine.
Really weird.
Like parents across the U.S., Ecuador probably doesn’t realize kids (Julian) can communicate through their Play Stations and Wii.
I guess someone (entity) used dvr, baby monitors and other home devices with wifi to flood internet with malicious requests. It brought down Dyn and made many sites unavailable. Many of our home devices have weak passwords, so it was easy for someone to get control of those devices to send out requests.
Do we have the ability to set passwords on a dvr?
My printer was printing without prompt this morning until it ran out of paper. Does that mean it is hacked?
I’ve had no trouble at all, but then again I don’t live under any of the red blobs.
I wonder if this was done in retaliation for the Russian hacker that we recently arrested in Prague? In any case, we have to get our malware eradicated. Cyber security is now a popular major, or at least it should be.

Yesterday I was trying to get on Twitter to check out the buzz on a new album I’d purchased, but couldn’t get on with my laptop. I could, however, load it on my i-phone. Not sure why that worked. I didn’t have trouble with any other sites, though, including CC.
I haven’t been able to get on all morning. Keep coming up to a psuedo google search thing.
Me, too, romani. I just called my interenet provider and they reset my modem.
@toledo did that work? I’m at my in-laws right now and still getting the “non-existent domain” error. I get it on my phone, too, even when I’m off wifi.
I got the “maintenance” screen a couple of times today…but then went right in to the site.
No issues here (New England.) I’m not counting one error on my cell, which does some other times happen.
