@romanigypsyeyes Yes, resetting the modem worked.
I might have to try that because I just had to click MANY times to finally get in here!
Resetting the modem won’t work here since I’m getting on my phone without the internet. It’s not a modem issue.
I saw some slow responses at work yesterday. I saw one server error message when sending email at home 2 hours ago. I sent 3 emails, 2 Messenger messages, 1 Hangout message to overseas people one hour ago but have not received any response.
Wasn’t the US being very open about planning a retaliatory cyber attack of some kind in response to the Democratic Party hacked emails? They have definitively blamed the Russian (government) and were making noises about what/when to launch an appropriate response. (Reminded me of an episode of Madam Secretary). I figured this attack was a pre-emptive strike warning the US that it had better not move forward with the idea of a retaliatory attack on Russia.
It bothers me (and it should bother everyone) how apparently easy it is to bring down these resources that we have become so dependent on. And not just temprarily losing access to Twitter (or College Confidential).
I was losing access to all my favorite shopping sites on Fri morning (7am). Not a good start to my weekend.
I’m still having lots of problems getting on this site!!! All day long!
This is so weird. I have had no problems at all. I’ve been able to shop and get on this site with no problems. No internet slowness or not being able to see pages.
It’s like everyone else is in an alternative universe. So strange.
Yeah, other than accessing Twitter the other day, no problems at all with internet for me.
Those of you with kids applying to college this year can exploit this Internet disruption by complaining about it incessantly. Also, complain incessantly if the electric power goes out at your house.
The idea is to make it seem sensible when you advise your kids to submit their online college applications a few days before the deadline because they can’t count on being able to do so on the deadline day.
@Marian – I have been mentioning it & sending links to articles, thinking that might light a fire under him. Even w/o the threat of another disruption, leaving three apps to all be filed on Nov 1st is not a good strategy! (Hitting head against wall…futile.)
I was watching an Amazon movie on my smart TV yesterday. My TV switched to YouTube in the middle of the movie.
